Live Stoner Chat Bloody gnats. Best way to get rid of them?

True but no adults = no babies. Stopped mine.

Sounds like the go I'll try and the Neem oil and some other things and see how we go

Just noticed you have leaf all the way to the bottom, trim some leaves from the bottom so you get good air movement around the top of the pot, I understand they lay in the top 1" of soil or so and they like it moist.

I used the glass of Apple cider vingar and yellow sticky tape (they are attracted to the color yellow) for the flyers. And some beneficial nematodes to deal with larvae. Now 3 weeks later they are all gone.

Yeh I might do that they are nearly ready tho. Yeh people have said that and to remove it but I've lost a inch of Coco throughout the grow and can see roots already haha so Gunna leave it and see how it goes

Mosquito dunks or donuts work well on gnats. Crush up the dunk in to a fine grind and then mix with water and top feed the pots with it. Also after applied put a layer of play sand on top. The adults gnats can not get thru sand in to the growing medium to lay more eggs - it breaks their lifecycle. Also put in some DE with the sand for some extra insurance.

I would not use a neem oil spray so close to harvest.

Good luck. Hopefully it won't affect your harvest.

And in the future to prevent this I would mix DE in with your growing medium. And make sure you have good RH and air flow around the lower section of the plants as mentioned above.

Yeh sweet cheers that's also good to know the Neem worked but I half assed it and didn't clean my Coco out and I still have a few so in just going to leave it until harvest which is a few days away I reckon week tops.

Why wouldn't you use the Neem?

I have read a few things on Neem oil. There is different ways to produce it. Cold press being one. One of the ways and I think its cold pressed has a strong odor and taste that you could notice when you smoke your buds. Check out a google search on it.

Neem is not good on flowers!!!! Not just the taste but smoking it will fuck up ur stomache. Theres now evidence that "CHS" is actually neem exposure. They blamed weed for making ppl sick come to find out its neem. Layer of sand on ur pots will fix gnats and d.e. mixed in liberally helps ur soil and plants in lots a ways plus kills bugs!

Yeh ok that what I was thinking might affect taste but size is still good lol. That was last week and it was only 1.5ltrs put through so wouldve been flushed through now easy plus I'll do a big 3 days of flushing atleast before it gets pulled
