Lighting Blue Himalaya Diesel (LED Grow in pictures)

Same setup as the last time, a 240w LED growlight, tent-size irrelevant as it's only one plant this time around because the fricking GH Green-o-matic didn't sprout!! Anyways, here's the BHD in pictures...sorta 10 days into the grow (I can't quite remember the exact date the seeds popped, lol)

She was topped at the 4th node :thumbs: (which worked a treat for the Red Dwarf previously)

Cheers guys. last week she smelled of green banana peel, an odour which has started to mature into banana by now (without the green peel aroma) :booya: She has also started to put her autumn dress on - and I love it!!

Did you top because of height problems? I always thought toping diminishes yield with autoflowering strains.

On the contrary, in my experience topping increases the overall yield, on e.g. the Red Dwarf the yield went up by 50%. It also "tiedies up" the plant structure, i.e. you get two 'main' kolas instead of one, and each arm gets a bit more space for itself if that makes any sense, lol. If I hadn't topped the BHD, I'd be looking at one short, dense kola similar to the La Diva shown in the middle of the picture:



From what I read it depends greatly on when you top your auto as in at which node. So far I stuck to Dykster's lead and topped at the 4th node (anything before that is said to be counter-productive)

Same goes for height - in my case topping the plants increases the height which is welcome, makes trimming later on easier too

Nice looking hbd there Rose! You got lucky and got one of those purple pheno's! I didn't get so lucky with mine but mine smells like straight deisel fuel right now at almost 8 weeks....
