It's time to dive back into the tent. Okay, the time was actually a week ago; this is day seven already. Last grow at this point, I was whining about how boring the first two weeks are, but it's really not that bad, as long as you already have six months worth of weed on hand...
This time around it's a couple of Mephisto Genetics limited edition strains: Sour Hound and Sour Bubblin' Crack. I had planned on Chemdogging and Walter White, but the little gals are so much fun, I decided to put those on hold and run with these two. A lesson to be learned: if you're anything like me, don't plan two or three grows ahead, just wait and buy the seeds for the next grow when the time comes as you'll change your mind anyway. On the other hand, after fifty odd years on this planet, I've learned that everything changes eventually; it can't be a bad thing to have a nice stash of seeds on hand!
I decided to skip the names this time around. I kept thinking of names appropriate for Sour Hound (Crabby Lassie was my favorite) but all that comes to mind when I think of Sour Bubblin' Crack is Immodium AD or "Pepto". So this time around it's going to be SH1 and 2, and SBC1 and 2. Now for the details:
Environment:
Cheap ass 3X3X6 foot grow tent (Brand name: One Deal. Avoid at all costs!)
Virtual Sun 4" inline fan and carbon scrubber; passive intake
4 3 Gallon equivalent (yellow base) Air-Pots
Fox Farm Happy Frog potting soil with Azomite and NO perlite (I don't want to hear about it!)
Hydroponics Hut PG-260 LED panel
150 watt Sun Systems HPS lamp
Regimen:
Fox Farms Big Bloom, Grow Big and Tiger Bloom, plus Bembe, and whatever else I feel like throwing in...
Fox Farms Beastie Bloomz and Cha-Ching; haven't decided on Open Sesame yet-I'm thinking of skipping it
Botanicare Cal-Mag
General Hydroponics Armor Si
"aged" aerated water
I feed with every watering, so 1/3 strength on nutes, starting at week three
Day 7:
For now, the two Sour Hounds have the sticks. I can't seem to find my plant label thingies...
edited to add:
I see I left out an important point again-I run my lights 24/0. Yeah, I get that it's unnatural, but I figure we crossed that line back when we decided to raise plants in a tent under a light bulb.
