P.S. Oups ! Please read Breeders as Pollen Chucking ! .. not breeders ! :)

Very curious about money earning potential of breeders.
well , arent they sitting on a gold mine ? Considering production of seeds vs price of seeds sold is so huge ..because even if you consider power, fertilizer , setup etc costs, Just two plants can produce thousands of seeds .. makes me think breeding a very profitable business .. considering all bases have been covered .. like the guy knows what he is doing ..etc etc.

Not too keen to find out about seed banks .. seed bank is more of a middle man... means bulk to retail margin based business, I know that type of business model already !

Thanks.

GROW ON ! :D

P.S.

This is for my information purpose only. Not at all thinking of doing it ! :)

Hey man, Seeds are sold by weight, not number of seeds in bulk. Unless you have a real pro operation, I think you will waste time and cash. It no easier than any other biz, for sure not.
Give it a go, but don't think its a walk im the park .

Are you talking about breeding or pollen chucking? Breeding takes years.. Decades even sometimes.. And its definitely not cheap... you have to get your hands on elite cuts that people want and can't get themselves.. Which is super expensive... Amx rare... and then work them.. For generations..Then find a potential cross..then work that.. cross them.. Then work those crosses.. Then work the seeds.. You can't just seed a plant and then sell the seeds. What if those seeds have a 30% germ rate? Who's gonna buy them? How will you know without testing them, then making more seeds and testing those, and so on, until you reach a 90% germ rate. How will you know they wont herm or what the herm rate is? Or how many phenos there are ect? There is a laundry list of things to consider. Breeding a qaulity product that people will buy, or pay top dollar for, is not to be taken lightly. One bad batch of 1000 plus seeds and your name/company and can be ruined.
