Mephisto Genetics Bubbasquanch, 0-4 germination.

Just an update on BubbaSquach. Tried to germ my remaining 3 (just for grins)and same result. Seeds seem to crack but never produce a tail. I did check under a scope and they had some gelatinous type funk where the shell cracked but never produced a tail. I'm no expert but seems like some sort of fungus or disease. They usually go 5+ days before they crack. BTW I follow the germination processed outlined by Mephisto via a cd case and rarely have problems. Just wanted to share..

Listen to slowandeasy. Temps make a huge difference in germination. I'm popping Meph seeds from 2016 and they're growing vigorously.

Yeah, everything else Ive popped at the same time, the same way has grown. Its literally only this strain

My bad dude. I usually only lurk but I feel like there's always germ issues same time of year and really just wanted to press the temp thing for any new folks. Now that I think about it, I do recall a few others having issues with this one after the illuminauto drop in 18'.

My pop and was the best I ever got from mephisto

I have also had the best luck germinating on a seed mat at 80 degrees. I usually would put them in a napkin inside a baggie above the fridge because it was the warmest spot in my house. I have always had very high success with germination. you always get a dud occasionally. once they were slow to pop and I went to the germ mat after thinking that they were taking too long. They opened much more quickly at 80-85 degrees. I am by no means as experienced as most of the people on here ( that is why I am here. To learn!) I have been growing Mephisto for the last 3 years and very much appreciate their quality of genetics . I just hope I can keep using their seeds. It's getting much harder to acquire them.
I appreciate the people that take the time to share their grows and all of the info. I am in state that will be the last to legalize.
Thanks and keep up the good work!
