Hello my fellow green friends!

I am buying a new panel and i thought asking other professionals about what they think. I am considering trying out Budmaster brand and have read about their panels but i still would like second, third and even fourth opinion :)

Ok, here we go. PAR wise, the GOD is a winner, thats a no brainer, But COB-s have more natural CRI. Since i have no experience with COB-s (yet) maybe someone can comment which one they would buy and why?

Thank you so much! :pass:

Since you asked I will respond. I started out with a 240w (3w) LED panel then a year later I added a 300w (5w) LED panel. I also added some CFL's to my 3 x 4 grow room as I needed to add some heat. LED panels will grow some great bud as I have and others here have out performed me by a mile. No maybe two miles. Now I have moved on to the "white light cob" and also note there are cobs that are not white light. I run 4 AutoCobs that have a Citizen 1812 chip, 3500K that I run 24/0 start to finish just as I did my LED panels. The AutoCob is comparable to a 150w hps. Except it far more efficient using energy. Creating more light with less energy. Now if I was growing in a larger space I would probably build my own cob contraption that would handle as many as I needed for the area I was growing in. I recommend (from experience) try one on one plant and see if you like it. The AutoCob is individually adjustable to that one plant you have it trained on. I also don't use reflectors in my situation. Panels are good but eventually you will join the white light cob crowd and enjoy watching your plants as I do mine praying to the "Light of Cob".

Your welcome! :pass:

thank you so much for your input. But if possible could you please elaborate on why you think i should switch from "burple" LED to white COB? (I have played with Mars Hydro panels, GN HS1, Kind LED and now want to try out Budmaster)

Well I would hardly call myself a professional grower but I have been accused of being a professional bullshitter.
I cannot spew spectrums, par watts and the other professional jargon that goes with lights. All I can tell you is what I read, see and
what I hear. Everything points this way and I believe it is the future. This is not the only site where I have gathered information on
led cobs and their differences. When I see a 1200w LED Cob on eBay that goes unsold at $150 auction after auction that alone tells me
this isn't the one I want. Cobs need to be correctly set up and powered with quality drivers. I know @BigSm0 is a vendor. But he can answer
the tech questions you have. You don't have to buy his product. There are many choices out there. I went where I got value and bang for my buck.

I decided on the cob option myself , as believe that the cob delivers more of a pure spectrum to the sun then r&b leds plus are more efficient in the respect of less heat per watt and more usable power per watt for the purpose we want and need.

yeah, i checked @BigSm0 products but the problem is they are in US :D (already considered trying them) and i reside across the pond. @BigSm0 can you chime in? :) :pass:

I wish I was more familiar with the budmaster. From what I remember reading there are mixed reviews based on the lights actual efficiency and choice of light sources. I'll have to dig it up again to be sure. They do have a cob option don't they? Before you purchase do a long hard google search for yourself. It takes days/weeks to afford a panel in that price range. It takes a couple hours to save yourself from a bad purchase. This goes for anything and I'm not picking on the light or company.

Thanks @BigSm0 but can you chime in on COB vs LED discussion. You clearly prefer COB but why are they so superior to conventional LED? As i understand COB-s are better in CRI and efficiency of light wats vs heat wats. I guess the broad question would be: is CRI value more important or as important as PAR value of a light source?

PS! regarding your COBS - have you thought about European market?
