I think I might have the answer [ Think I have ] if not I can't help . From your power output to first light is it Pos to Pos , then you go neg to pos . to next light . ect and you last is neg to neg .
I wish you mentioned the driver in the previous posts as I would have told you to choose separate drivers for each section of cobs. I would not run different spectrums on the same driver. Each cob has a different forward voltage and this could be part of the trouble. Not saying it won’t work but it really isn’t the best thing to do even if it does work. Looks like it’s wired properly minus the disconnected wires. They all do need to be hooked up to work.

Shit, thought i did Man this really sucks i dont know what to do know I bought from US and im in EU and shipping really sucks here Not sure if i should buy 3 seperate drivers or just switch to 6 x 3500Ks bc both is not in my budget I have to roll one up and do some serious thinking lol
It’s positive to positive and negative to negative (in) but (out) is positive to negative and negative to positive. Confusing
Look closely at the picture of series wiring. It may work. Hopefully it’s just a wiring issue. If it doesn’t work and you do need new divers or cobs but you do not need the hlg-240 again. You can go much smaller which is cheaper.

So the driver output (blue(neg) and brown(pos)) is connected to the COB with pos/pos neg/neg but the COBs are paired together pos/neg and neg/pos ? I think i have this right :smoking:
The Cree cxb3590 data sheet says the max. Voltage coming from the 36V version @2100mA would be 39V. I run them at 1050mA so the Voltage should be a bit less. 238V Output / 39V = 6,102.
I really hope its an wiring issue aswell If i buy new drivers think i would drive my 3000K 90CRIs @1400mA to get a better "flowering area", my driver has to be >100,8W and >72V (Output) right ? :smoking:
Yeah my plan was to get 3 areas in my tent because i dont have much space but wanted to get the best spectrums for my plants :smoking: I think i can buy both, driver and COBs here in EU but i dont want to send the unused item back to US because i paid fees and taxes for it and i need to count every penny :smoking: Think i need to make myself a christmas present and buy 2 drivers lol
It’s been awhile since I played with a larger driver and forgot what’s what. Brown is usually live and blue is neutral. Meanwell has a data sheet you can check. Or SHOULD check before making any connections. Usually the pos and negative coming from the driver is red and black. Follow each wire like this diagram. You can see how they change colors. That is showing pos and negative in from the driver but YES pos to negative on each additional cob
See the first black on the left side, that’s negative to negative. Then the hot side goes from red to black as it goes into the negative on the next cob. Then red turns to black as it goes to negative again.
Yeah i checked their data sheet for sure ! I am more than sure that everything is wired up right. It has to be the driver problem. Im not sure but i could run 4-5 COBs with this driver to test if they work right ? if the 6th COB is the problem i think i will drive the remaining 5 COBs till i have enough money :smoking:
