Lighting CALIFORNIA LIGHTWORKS 400 watt, with UVB

:head::dance:New toy's rock :dance::head:

YES, they do! You can think the Lord above for creating Taxes.

seems like it will be good for veg. It looks more purple then my bs so it def has a good amount of blue. does it turn more of a magenta color when you switch to flowering mode?

Yes, when you flip the switch the light from Veg to Flower, it has more red diodes, and the appearance is more red as well,

I am happy with this so far, my tent has made a big difference in my humidity level., almost doubled to about 65%, so I have to keep a gap in the door so enough escapes. When I get the air extractor, I will probably have that taken care of.

Temps are running about 80-85 at canopy level. This is a bit high for veg. but right on when we flower. I did some research here. It seems that LED may be getting the bad name on Yeilds from the fact that the temperatures need to run a bit higher. I seen some nuiggets off a plant where they kept the temperatures at 79 degrees during veg, and 85 during flower, that sounded like baseballs when they dropped them into a plastic tray. I will be checking this out more.

Hi Everyone at AFN,

I have to let everyone know, that I sent an email to George who is the head of the service dept at California Lightworks LED. He sent me an email less than an hour later, asking me to confirm my address. Before I could confirm my addy with an email. I recieved and email with the tracking number of the package he was sending. He said he would send me TWO uv lights.

This Place has GREAT customer services so far.

I need a little help folks.

I was going through all the specifications of my light, and I cannot find any recommendation for light distance. Now I do get coverage distances, but not actual plant canopy distances.

So any advice in this area would be great. I have them at abouit 15 inches above the plants right now, with 55% humidity and 80 degrees F.

I saw Cres at one time advising someone on this, and for the life of me I cannot find where that was at.

If you need more info, just ask.

A thousand thank you's.

Are you in veg or flower mate..roughly something like this works, for veg between 16-24 inch and flower 12-18 inch

Hi RedeyeC,

SOrry, should have put that in I guess, I am about into veg now. no where near flowering.

So that guildline you showed me, looks very familiar with what I have remembered seeing. So unless someone lets me know specifically about this light, I will keep that. thanks

That is a beast of an LED. 400 watts. I would keep it at a clean 24" with seedlings, and slowly work down as they grow. Just my opinion, brotha. :smokebuds:

I have the 800w and the 200w Solarflare. For the Storm I keep it 12-18 inches from the top depending.

Thanks Squid, I probably wont be putting seedlings under it. I got this freaking cheap, and I mean cheap ass 2 x 32watt 4ft. T-8 at home depot, they have one at Wally's too, for ten US bucks, and daylight bulbs for 6 bucks a peice and these things rock for vegging. We are gonna get two more, because early season vegetables love this light too, we have some Romaine, Spinach, and Black Seeded Simpson Lettuce (what ever that is), or just lettuce, lmao.

Bye the way, this shirt is'nt getting any younger. ha ha ha.

Hey Thank you Rhaps, How are those lights working out for you? I am interested in how the harvest's went. If you let me know, if you have any information on that.

Thanks all,

bye for now

Hi Everyone, I thought I would update, my California Lightworks Solar Storm 400w. thread.

Okay so my BBerry Kush's are about 10-12 inches tall, I am running the light at about 18 inches above the canopy. So far so good. I think I got the light too close a bit but now have backed it off a safe distance, so as to not freak me out.

I dropped 3 Top 44 Skunk beans into water for 24 hours, then into soil now for abouot 36 hours. They have yet to show thier green nubs. Hopefully I will wake in the AM and they will be smiling back at me.

Okay here is a couple of pics. I tried the personal plant micro scrog on two, one didn't like it, and the other didn't care for it. They need to be stronger yet.

PICS...
