I thought I should update the progress on my BlackBerry Kush's. The Solar Storm has been flipped to 12/12 on sunday night, the plants are all bushy and huge. For six weeks (almost to the day) they are doing really well under this 4oo watt light. The Light in flowering stage is a little redder than in veg. So if I am doing it wrong, let me know.
I am still trying to figure it out. But I set it at about 18 inches to start, and let them grow up to 15 inches before I move it up. I am gettting an occasional burn though, I can't tell if I hit the light with the plant, or if the light is too close. I must be more careful.
I have to go thank the guy that I got these beans from. Not only did I get all five beans to crack, but four of the five turned out to be female. I am glad, cuz of my last auto's I got 7 out of twenty, so Karma was due to come around I guess. I accept, thank you.
I trimmed them all down, they were too bushy for them to get any light past the canopy. I researched some stuff, and so I cut one down to the bone, and the other three got good haircuts, for max penetration. I will be doing this for the rest of the grow. It is the kinda thing that once you start, you gotta keep on it.
Hey Eek, I am on the solarstorm gfp as well. Same name on that forum, doing Afghan Kush Ryder. Am in week 3. I have a friend of mine with the solar storm(400) and he has had a few problems with the 5 watt panels being too close. He actually bleached his babies on the tops. He runs a 3watt panel of a different brand and doesnt have that problem with getting it too close. Be careful man and dont bleach the babies!! Grow Karma your way!!
