Lighting CALIFORNIA LIGHTWORKS 400 watt, with UVB

I was curious as well. Are CLW worth that price tag?

if you get CLW led try to get one thru their grower feedback program you agree to do a journal on the light and they give it to you for discount i think its only on the 400w model right now so its $599 with the grower feedback program. i wanted to try out a CLW but at the time they only had the 800w solarstorm and the smaller ones, so since their wasn't a grower feedback program for the 200w solarflare they cut me a deal on the price and its been a great light. call the company and talk to george great guy. had mine for a while now and plants love it. i'm bummed the 400w model wasn't out when i bought mine its perfect size for my cabinet. but maybe my next big buy ... :)

I got the 400 through the feedback program and it is well worth it. I couldn't be happier

Love mine as well with the exception with when the light is turned on to floweing mode, if I don't have a fan blowing right ontop of the light it overheats and shuts off, with the fan ontop of it I've had zero issues since, though I still think that's a poor fix for such an expensive light! Its what Cali Works suggested I do.

LED: CLW 400 update

Hey Everyone,

I was absent for a while so I will update my thread here

I like the light, It doesn't flowere BIG buds, but if you arent' growing commerically, and with Auto's it is more than adequate.

The two U/V bulbs make a lot of difference to the trichome production. I am impresse with that. My buds seemed extra gooey. here are a few of the last pics of the Vendetta OG just before the move, and hence the harvest back in September.

One thing I should mention. The internode spacing is perfect with this light, never an overstretch and never to short.

PS These were photo plants

I find this truly sad and unbelievable!
This would be enough for not buying the product!

SG,

I agree that it would be an issues if it was a constant problem. But considering that things happen to every Company, and that this company will gladly fix this issue. They are pretty down-to- earth folks, and they are in the USA and will send you the part if that is all it takes.

I had a UV bulb that was flickering, They send me 2 bulbs to replace it, and I have no other issues with it.

Thank you for checking it out anyway

Peace

I guess that would be an accurate assumption if you had thouroghly read the thread, AND if you knew what stage of growth the plant was in, or what strain it was, or many other factors that are variable. that most reasonble people would think of before replying with a comment such as yours.

But thanks anyway for the amusement.

Peace

am i missing something here? I am looking at this fixture as well but your buds seems so small.

One thing I noticed with my SS 400 is that the buds it produces appear slightly smaller but they are much more dense and have more weight to them then buds of the same size grown under HID.

@Eek hey I haven't seen you around in a while. Glad to see you're still lovin the SS!
