Hi Evol,

Yeah bro, we had to go MIA. We moved this summer, to a nice two acre place, ripe for production. I and Root66 are still kicking it around. Hope to hear back from you, and I keep checking out your threads. One day I will comoment and let you know I am around there.

Peace Brother

I just fired up my CLW 400w, now I found out there is a 440...... lol man I swear LED's are like ipods as soon as you save up for a good model you think is going to work they drop a better one that same summer.
Well I will let you all know what the outcome is! Maybe I'll start a journal, idk lol. I just hope it gives me better results than my Indagro 200 did. But that grow had some flaws with air movement and heat so its not all its fault. PLUS the g13 Auto Pineapple express threw me freaken 2 pheno's and that Sativa one affected the total yield greatly. Although 1oz for the two good ones with some seriously nice smell/taste was still worth the effort.

I go check the garden room really fast before work. The CLW burned out and died..... no power no light nothing...... First night the light ever runs and it fails. I'll call the company at 10am PST and see whats the deal but as of right now I'm not happy with this product

Damn 777 that sucks hope you get everything worked out and your light fixed.

Hey 777
hate to tell you this, your unit is not broken! It has a built in kill switch if the unit becomes to hot, which unfortunately it has a tendency to do, Cali works solution to me was not that it's a fault of the unit but to run a fan (clip one) blowing facing the top of the unit... It will displace the heat and the light won't shut off... IMHO is BS! From the four LEDs I own the Solar storm being the most expensive of all I'd would say is the one I'm least happy with... The only positive I liked on the unit was it's stilly t8 uv bulbs that can be purchased at any pet store... If ya just got the unit give it a try, if ya got it under the grower program do a grow with it and see how you like it, if you don't return the sucker... It is definitely built sturdy as hell! The heaviest of all the lights... Sending you a big :karma Cloud:

Damn Yoda that would suck It looks like they would put the fans needed to keep the light cool so this would not happen. Sounds like this light is a lot of trouble. I have always(and still do) wanted to try LED's but things like this is one of the reason I haven't a lot of people I talk to have problems with them and the big reason is the price. Its bad enough that they cost so damn much and then to have problems out of them just makes it worst.

For such a high priced premium quality USA made unit... I'd be asking for a refund. Kind of a joke really. How are they still selling lights?

I run dual solar storms in a 4x4 tent and never had em turn off like that, but have heard many folks have, due to heat. I keep my room at 68* and the inside at the exhaust is a constant 77*. Running LED, your room temp is almost as important as your inside temp. I rum a clip fan on the top blowing the hot air down from the roof of the tent, and a clip fan over the ladies to move the air around. I also had a uvb bulb blow, called cali lightworks to replace(under warranty) and they said they would get em in the mail, but never seen it yet(over a month ago) so I will be giving them a call today. I live in Northern US and shipping is a b*tch here is why they probably didn't send it. I'll let ya all know what they say.

Ijust got my 2 880 order a few days ago. Im putting both in a 50x50 tent. good luck Im in for the ride with you.

I like the ideal of mixing fluorescents with leds but these commercial grow lights are way out of my budget. so I went ghetto and used smd5050 warm white striplights http://www.ebay.com/itm/251512972748?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT to build an led panel light that I use for side lighting.by running 15 short strips in parrallel I can operate directly off 120 volt ac line with just a rectifier and filter capacitor.. total project cost was $20 for 5000 lumens of warm white led lights. I think this would be a good substitute for 3000k fluorescents in a 6000k/3000k mix. some of us MMJ growers are retired and on a limited budget and this was one way of playing with leds with out breaking the budget. and warm white leds cover the red and deep red spectrum better than fluoro's. anyone else doing leds cheap and ghettoView attachment 367926View attachment 367927?
