Brand of LED: California Lightworks SolarFlare 200

Price of the led : I believe $349, it was right when it went on sale at Grower's House, and they had a sale price which was about $50 cheaper than they're selling it for right now.

Delivery cost: Free UPS shipping

What size was the grow space : 2'X2'X4.5'

Spectrum used:
• Deep Blue 450 nm
• Blue 470 nm
• Red 620 nm
• Deep Red 665 nm
• Warm White 430-700 nm

Customer service rating: 10/10 - Both Grower's House and California Lightworks did a great job! They were going through a slight shortage at CLW, and rushing lights out pretty fast to catch up. My first unit came with only the red LEDs working. They cross-shipped me a new one, free of charge, and fairly quickly. Even paid for me to return mine to CLW. That's service right there!

Wattage of the LED ( actual power draw if poss): 160 watt

Optics used : 40 X 5w LED - Being driven at about 4w for longevity.

Build quality: 10/10 - This is what first made me look into the light. It looked like something that would last.

Warranty length : 3 year limited - My experience and the stories I have heard from others about CLW would lead me to believe that unless you damaged the unit through your own fault, they will try to help you as best they can.

Any noticeable plant deficiencies : I started using CaMg+ because of some deficiencies. These seem to be pretty commonly reported when using LED with organics.

Addition info : Love this light, and would love to get a 400 or 800 when I get a bigger space! Shout out to George at California Lightworks and Nate at Grower's House! Great job, guys!

This isn't my 1st grow with this light, but it definitely shows what it can do. One plant - 90g+ of the best auto buds I have grown so far!

We have another SolarFlare review to come then I Think we will contact them for a bit more of their Tech-Spec.

Did you Use the Customer Feedback discount or did you pay full whack..?

Thanks for the review GG :smokebuds: +rep

Glad everyone likes the review. This light produces consistently for me in my 2x2. I'd even consider putting it in a 3x3, but for 4x4 I'd move up to the 400w unit. As to my discount, I just was lucky that Grower's House was offering a sale since it was a new item for them.

Also of note: George at California Lightworks told me that he could match any advertised price from an authorized retailer. Handy if you live near CA, yet someone has it for sale cheap in NY.

i have this light too. may i ask how close to the top of the plants you keep it, during veg and flower?

WEEK 1-2 = 24"
WEEK 2-3 = 18"
WEEK 3-4 = 12"
WEEK 4+ = 6"

That's a rough guide for autoflowers. I always start at 24", then move to 18" once I get a couple sets of leaves. Once I see pistils forming I move down to 12". After buds really start forming I can get as close as 6", and my tops may turn slightly white. Maybe 7 or 8" is a little safer for my tent, but it's surrounded by Mylar. If you have a similar space, I'd expect similar placement would work. With no reflection, I still would never go lower than 6" or you'll bleach out the plant.

Feel free to ask anything, and I'll try my best to answer. I've been using this little guy about a year now, and I'm very happy with it!

:smokebuds:thanks for the report
