I'm using general hydroponics nutrients whole line of nutes. Starting with 0 ppm filtered reverse osmosis water and Calimagic for my calmag supplement. How much calimagic ppm .500 scale on seedlings? How much calimagic ppm .500 scale in VEG and in BLOOM also? Growing autoflowering strains. Do I add small dose of nutrients to seedlings yet? Like 1/4 tsp per gallon of water of nutrients Flora trio? 1/2 to 1 tsp per gallon of Calimagic? I was thinking just 100 to 150 ppm calimagic on seedlings only til they develop 2 sets of true leaves then a light dose of nutrients?

I usually wait to give them CaliMagic until I'm ready to give them nutrients, then read the plants and increase gradually as needed. I wouldn't add anything it doesn't need at this point. This also might vary depending on strains and lights.

if nature is illegal, freedom doesnt exist..

So just straight ro water is OK?

I'm growing northern lights auto by royal queen seeds and pineapple express by barneys farm. Starting with high output t5 the first week or 2 then when roots and the plant is better established I'll flip to 1000 watt mh in a air cooled hood, then flip to 1000 watt hps when they show preflowers

If you're using R/O water a calmag supplement is needed, but you really don't need to add it until you start using nutrients (imo and experience). Start lower and increase(not too much, follow directions) as your plant grows or if you start seeing signs of deficiency. Some girls need it more than others.

I am unfamiliar with that company and have no experience with the lights you use, but have heard good things about both. From what i understand, the calmag deficiency seems to happen more with the use of led lights. Which is what I use.

I use reverse osmosis water, not tap. It's required with ro water.

That's what I meant and so did I,lol. I can't use tap water at all where I'm at. It's really bad.

I have read online the same thing your saying though .That with led lights you need calmag also. That's weird. I don't understand it, I'm not sure why that would be. I'm using 1000 watt magnetic ballast, old school reliable. Screw digital I say. Feeding 0ppm water to my seedling right now just ro water. My tap ppm is 150. I heard some people use calmag with tap water too If there plants show a deficiency

Yea, ive looked at those lights and ballasts and even have some on my wish list, but am just sticking with led for now. I have enough money invested at this point..lol.
I couldn't exactly say why about leds and the deficiency either without doing a little reading up on it. I think it has to do with the light spectrum.
I have seedlings that just popped as well. The only things I added to my dwc buckets were: rapidstart, and hydroguard. Which brought my ppm up to around 50ish.. 150 isn't bad for tap water. Mine is up over 300.
