New Grower A journal for my friends

Day 51

The kids are alright! Seems like yesterday when they were in diapers 😄
They’re both genetically short and bushy type plants so a little training and a lot of defol has paid off for me because I’m super paranoid of mold/mildew. Everyone has their thing they’re extra anal about I guess and for me it’s imperative that I can see through the plant and I love me some level canopy ✌🏻

Here’s the GrapeWalker after drying and headed for the cooler. I don’t trim super close just so it will look cool in a pic and I don’t sell so I’d rather smoke it. And smoke it I did and it’s 🔥 I can’t wait for you guys to smoke your genetically ass-kicking homegrown plants and be amazed at how long it’s been since you felt this high on 1/3 of a joint. ✌🏻

You've got no worries! My trim jobs are way worse. I just don't have a reason to spend time removing more than fans and large sugar leaves.

Day 57

I dropped 2 new beans today and they’ll be in the 3x3 with the newer 300w light with 24hr light for heat til they sprout, you know the drill. I threw my kids in there too just to check the space and kind of map the ppfd vs light height for future reference and snapped a few pics. Sugar fairy is starting to drop by and the flowers are stacking into some very thick and fat buds ✌🏻

Day 64

Starting week 10 feed schedule today. Nothing but love in the Tent of Deliciousness. Flowers are stacking and getting pretty dang fat, we got some sugar going, and it smells like total joy! Not even close to finish but the buds are already very dense. When dried I’ll guess about 5oz each. That’s not bad for a plant that’s only 13” high if you ask me. But 10oz smokeable fire in less than 90 days? C’mon man ✌

Day 71

The weeks are flying by! I’ll be checking my trichomes in the next couple days. I use a jewelers loupe and I’m looking for a nice amount of amber trichs on the buds. You may have harvested already as genetics vary. I’ll probably let these go another week and I’ll trim off the tops and leave the lower growth for a few days minimum to mature more. Fat buds on these babies I’ll tell you what. ✌🏻

Hung these to dry 7 days ago and they’ve got a couple/few more to go. Theres 4 more of these hangers and I have them hanging in the dark in my 4x4 tent with a fan on low oscillating near the bottom just to circulate air. I usually just trim off the easy to get to fan leaves before hanging and then when dry I trim the sugar leaves over a screen and clean tray and I’ll later roll most of it with filters and make a bunch of cigs. I like a slow dry so having leaves still attached is preferred while drying. When I feel they’re close I’ll put a few nugs in an airtight jar with a small hygrometer and I’m looking for 62 or 63% before I’ll bag them in my grove bags and stuff em in the wine fridge which is set at 60 degrees. Seems to work well as I have 12 month old bud that honestly is as fresh as day 1. So I’ll see you guys at the weigh in ✌🏻

Outside humidity dropped way down for a day and BOOM they were a tad drier than I prefer. From too wet to almost too dry in 11 hours so I quickly snipped and bagged em. In my rush I only got one pic of one plant right before it went into the bags and then the final weights. 3 1/4lb bags because one has half n half, no room in the fridge for a 4th bag. I don’t know exact weight per plant I just weighed it all at the end (fyi grove bags have a 1 ounce tare which comes in handy when your weighing half full bags later). Total weight for the two plants is 328.3 grams = 11.7 ounces = 5.8 ounces per plant average. I’ll take it! So here’s the Double Grape before bagging and the weight pics…
