Hello my fellow AFN brethren. I know there are plenty of us here that use the General Organics Bio lineup: BioThrive Grow & Bloom, BioBud, BioRoot, Diamond Black, BioWeed, BioMarine and their CalMag.

I wanted to provide a specific spot for posting experiences, results, uses, etc. about these products. I think this would make it easier to find for users looking for info such as this, and we could do it for all of the more popular nutrient lineups as well. But this is what I am using so I started here.

So post your thoughts, experiences, pictures, how you used it, which ones you used, etc. about the General Organics lineup listed above.

Thanks guys and gal!

I have a bottle of their cal mag on standby for cal/mag related deficiencies. I've been seriously considering picking up the G.O. box (so clever their names are!) and giving them a shot. I prefer soil mixes and teas but I'm real curious about the bottled stuff.

I am also thinking about useing the go box from general hydroponics. I talked to a tech assistant about the product ans said you don't have to worry about ph when using the go box nutes, just follow ther schedule, and the mother fer will grow like jack in the bean stalk.:booya::smokebuds:

I have heard that too. I still ph my feeds though. Thanks for the comments guys! Where are all of the other users, though??

So I was reading a lot on other forums and around about General Organics and ph. I know this has been at least partially tackled before, but I wanted to ask again as things get so lost within threads sometimes.

There are differing opinions on whether you have to regulate your ph when using GO nutes. The company themselves say as long as you're in soil or able to create a micro-herd in your soilless mix, such as Promix, then it will stabalize its ph every time by itself.
I read through several grows using different mediums and all asking the company if they needed to bring the ph of their feeds up because sometimes with heavy feeds it would be in the 5s or even 4s. General Organics guys said no worries, it does not matter with their organic nutrients and chelates and ability to uptake even with ph that acidic in feeds. I saw numerous testimonies and several of the same and similar questions get asked and answered by the people who make it. And these growers did so and had great results.

But some say do not do this, and to still bring your ph into range. I think I will do a test with one of my plants later this grow by just adding nutes and feeding without raising ph and compare it to the rest that I will have an in range ph on.

What gives though? Any suggestions, advice, experiences?
Thanks

I see you talked to gh as I did yesterday.I'm glad to see your doing a comparison with the ph.One question,do you think that go box will last through an entie grow?I tryed to figure it out but it depends on how many plants you have and how often you water. The rep said you could use them every other water if you are watering alot so we will have to see.I will be using pro mix with mychorizae in but i bought some more to add later in the grow, but i don't know if you need to add more.I will call the company and ask them.:smokebuds:

They have some myko that they sell and recommend but I saw some people that didn't use it and it still worked fine, but I guess the more fungi action going down the better. You're right about the GO box, it just depends. I have Qt bottles of all of mine, I don't use the entire lineup though. I will eventually buy everything except for the Bio Marine but I am ok for now, I have plenty of nutes, hell I even use some for my outside veggies and stuff sometimes, haha. I am using Promix BX and it has myko in it so I guess I should be fine.

And yeah if you have smaller containers or bigass plants that take feeds every 1-2 days then you could feed every other just water to keep your supply going longer.

I know my test of just trying it with one plant isn't the best experiment, but I don't wanna try it on more and it screw everything up. We'll see.

I am going to be picking up the GO Box as well for my run of Blue Himalaya Diesel.. I currently have and use fox farms trio but i would like to do a comparison and also i need the ca/mg supplement as well. with so many products it would be interesting to do something like you squid and perhaps the entire line up on a 2 plants vs the base nutes on 2 others... it should be fun... im so excited to do my run of BHD i cant wait i think im going to really try to dial this strain in i plan on doing a seed run then growing it non stop for at least the next few runs until i find something else to fall in love with.

Squid, as you know I tried the GO line before, Grow, Bloom and Marine. Frankly, I was very dissatisfied. My results weren't as good as FF Grow Big and Tiger Bloom and certainly nowhere like I'm getting from the AN pH Perfect line. I started out with Pro Mix pH adjusted to 6.4. Using rain water that's normally around 7.2 their nutes brought my pH into a range where I needed to use some up to get into an acceptable range. Even still over a period of a few weeks my pH went way low, 4.8 to 5.2 requiring some hydrated lime to quickly bring it back up. By the time I got the pH back in line my plants were somewhat stunted. I do like the Black Diamond. I previously had used powdered humic acid but find the liquid much easier to use.

I know this is somewhat off topic... but is the AN ph perfect organic?
