no squid im not vegan. i always grow organically though and appreciate natural ingredients and tend to shy away from too many animal products in my nutes, with the major exception of guanos. You should start a thread on vegan growing though... i bet there are a few members out there that would enjoy it!

I plan on doing just that, my friend. But only after having gotten better at growing. I want a good solid grow logged under my belt before I start it. I want evidence of it all, otherwise, it's another pointless thread to me, haha. Thanks man!

Haha cool il just sit it out and watch ur grow! Yeah I saw the post months after it was posted thats why I asked. U growing soil or hydro?

I am in Promix, semi-soil-less technically. But there is no soil in there, haha. Just what they say. I love it!

Hello all. First off thanks for all of the info I have lurked off of your posts. I am a first time grower and am on day 17 with two autos in a cab using a mix of peat, perlite, ewc, dolomite and some chicken poo. With that out of the way, here is my noobish question. I bought the GO box and am wondering how often people feed? I fed once as per week one instruction using half strength at 14 days and the plants seemed to take it no problem. Should I be feeding every watering? Feed water water? Feed feed water? Help an apprentice grower out and thanks in advance.

Hey Charkie. How are ya? Glad to have you. Go intro yourself in the Intro section. Depending on what medium you are using. I use Promix which is really low in nutrients so I can start feeds about 14 days at 1/4 strength. You wan to start light and work your way up from there. Autos are more sensitive than photo plants. You can do slightly stronger feeds and run feed water feed or lighter feeds and run feed feed feed every time. Any other questions feel free to ask. Take a look around and read as much as you can in the New Growers Forum. Muddy and Jackal are official helpers, but I help too. Don't bother looking at my grows, they are a great representation of my character, but not of my grow knowledge. I know more than I can do basically.

Today I did an experiment on my two ladies of same age. One I fed with half everything. The other just half strength on the bio bloom and diamond black and full strength on everything else for week 7. Have you used at full strength yet?

I haven't gone beyond about 1/2 strength maybe, but you see how old most of mine get, I just haven't had the chance. And a half strength dose is half of everything you're using. I measure out how much with a dropper that is 5ml(1 tsp) but then I check the ppm and I have been following that. I like using it because sometimes I only mix up half a gallon so I kinda guestimate on the amounts I shoot in the jug and then check the ppm to see where I am. See what I mean? Since everything is x amount per Gallon, I guess but then know that I am on because of my ppm.

Of course this won't work if you don't have a ppm meter or a combo. Hope this helps Poops.

I am using the GH salt lineup mostly (floragro/micro/bloom) koolbloom, florablend plus subculture-b in my DWC setup. but I also heard that you want some organics in there and little sugar to feed the bacteria unless your using something like florakleen and no bacteria, so I picked up some GO Cal-mag+ cause I use RO water and It has fermented molasses and cane sugar in it. And now I'm hearing everybody needs Seaweed and kelp so I'm thinking about getting some Bioweed. I'm thinking that should round out my lineup but what I'm going for is about 80% salt 20% organic.

@squid, ya I never could seem to fit a full dose of anything in my res and not blow up my ec meter I tried going north but it did'nt look good.
