Joint Dr Ogre ~7 weeks old. started under 1x45w blue, then 2 then 3, now under 250w red cfl. Was heavily trained to make it branch out, then re potted into a 12lt pot. It was fed root stim at full dose for 3 weeks, then onto 1/2 dose babybio, then started adding full dose magnacal as i thought this was the problem. Been on bloom feed at 1/2 dose for a few weeks + simulator and magnacal. I flushed nearly 2 weeks ago to see if it would help, then fed 1/2 dose feeds. I'm pretty sure it got light burned, but that was weeks ago now, and the plant is like 5 times the size since that happened. still seems to be drinking well. i tied things out a little more today and noticed a lot of yellowing down below so i guess i need to up my nitrogen next time. im just wondering what all the other stuff is on the leaves. just want to make sure its not a deficiency. i was thinking of just mixing all my feeds together next time to try and cover everything it could be because im struggling with the deficiency charts and cant figure this one out. i have 2 other plants fed similar in same soil and conditions that don't have the same patterns on the leaves. anyone got any ideas? would be appreciated.

What type of soil and what are you mixing nutes in and are you checking the ph of your feeds

its in biobiz all mix,

what do you mean by what am i mixing nutes in?

ph ~6.6 in and out . i do have amendment fluid but i don't bother using it as it seems to be about right straight out of the tap after nutes are mixed in.

any help would be greatly appreciated, i have 2 other plants in same soil in similar grow chambers, albeit smaller plants and pots and different seeds

Man wish I could help with this for you, no experience in soil for me though bud. Someone will be able to though after all it's AFN and that's huge experience behind you bud. Have you tried 24 hour help desk the mods are great.
Peace

Hi, dendrite :)
This one is looking nitrogen deficient. I'm not familiar with the Biobiz nutes, but they look like they need some N.
How long ago did the plant start to present the yellowing edges? Soon after the light burn?
I looked up the specs for Ogre.. I wonder if its rapid growth just kept it using nitrogen at a faster rate.
The complicating factor is that you're at week 7 of a 10 week strain, so hitting it with a lot of N now may affect the flavor and harshness of the finished bud.
Bottom line- If its been yellow edged for a while, it may be best to keep on your nute schedule and let it finish without adding N.
I'd let some other experienced soil growers pipe in, as well :)
Best to you :pass:

I agree with waxi, don't hit her hard with a bunch of N.
Do you have ph down?. Maybe if anything take the mix down just a bit to 6.2 or so. I had a haze plant look exactly like what you are experiencing. My fix was a hard flush and mix @ 6.2. But the good news is as bad as you feel (I know the feeeling) looking at those leaves she's really not in that bad a shape brother she should put some bud weight on for ya

cool, thanks for the input, it is deffo nitrogen deficient, when i tied out some branches yesterday there is a lot of yellowing from the bottom i had not seen, i can just up from 1/2 to 2/3 recommended dose nitrogen to cure that.
regarding it getting to the end, its nowhere near, it might say ten weeks but it looks more like it will take 12 or even more

but its the weird yellowing on the top leaves im more interested in
these weird patterns seemed to start around the time of light burn, but like i said , that was maybe 5 weeks ago now, and the leaves that burned at that time are right at the bottom of the branches since then, allthough i do get the nub at the top contains the embryo of the future leaves so maybe they were just all burned at this stage.

the symptoms never really got worse after this point, in that i dont seem to be loosing the top leaves, but they did effect all the leaves as they developed

im a few days off watering yet, so will see what the consensus is with this thread and make a decision on what to do. thanks for the input, really apriciated,

thanks for the reassurance,
i have to add some nitrogen i think. the shooting powder i use has nitrogen zero, and the biobloom is nitrogen 1. i do have dutch pro as well, but im not sure of the nitrogen value in the bloom feed for that as it doesnt say on the bottle.

i will try bringing the ph down a little next time , i do have the fluid and it never gets used and i realize i am at the high end, maybe this plant just likes it a little lower, never done the ogre before, but given its prolific branching, under my tiny wattage, i will deffo try again and hopefully nail it. there are like 20 bud sites on this thing. its mental

Man the ogre looks like she just keeps on giving I'm scared to guess what mine will weigh in at.
Always learning buddy.
Peace

i am well up for trying another. might just aim for maybe 12 top bud sites though rather than 20 given i use tiny cfl in soil. might be a more sensible approach. lol
