Extraction Canna Olive Oil What it can do for you

Great work here Musturd :slap: Very cool bro :smokebuds:

It works wonders for my mom and dad, they have been using it topically. Eases pain and let's them get some much needed sleep. Does anyone have a good recipe for a balm/lotion? I'd like to make them some, it would be less messy then oil. For me, I'm on on a smoking jays kick right now, and I won't mix the two! Haha

Hey jackal, we also make a coconut root rub. To extra strength that we mix in infused oil. Get effects from both meds. Not sure if your parents partake, but it is very surprising to us how non cannabis users are accepting of canna meds.

My dad will hit the joint with me every once in a while, mom won't touch it. Only the infused oil topically. So, that's why I'd like to make her a rub/lotion.

Patient #1 male 70 diabetic high blood pressure. Main problems seeking relief for degenerative inoperable lower spine. Pain in left knee to compensation in gait due to back pain.

1/4 tsp before breakfast, same at 4pm, 8 months no pain meds or aspirin. Smokes after dinner. As an experienced user he could tell when oil was made from an early harvest. As Rebel said in the making you get out what you put in. Later harvest higher in cbd is much more effective.

How many people using this are experienced with other medicated oils, especially coconut oil? I know other oils can give different effects even with the same material, but between the high amounts of MCTs making most effective use of available cannabinoids and being a solid at room temp I much prefer coconut oil to other alternatives most of the time. Anyone experienced with both mind telling me about their olive oil experiences, and which one they prefer? I'm always up for experimenting, but I'd like to know about their differences first. Thanks in advance!

Ratatoskr Welcome, :smokebuds:

We have also worked with coconut extracts, I have testers now who are like "yea the oil but what about the rub"

We made coconut oil infused with roots,

https://www.autoflower.org/f67/recipe-root-rub-14882.html

To make it stronger, deeper penetrating for arthritis and joint pain, I made Coconut oil from the whole plant, roots, stems, leaves, and bud. Very good meds but a couple drawbacks. Smelled like weed, great at a phish concert not so at the office. Fixed with water cures, more work. And it molded quick due to very fine plant material, again fixed with more work.

We were also experimenting with the Canna Olive Oil, orally. A few months ago I discovered topical benefits of the oil and ding ding ding lite bulb over the head moment mixed the two and we can not keep up with demand. I have been told if it was legal we would make a killing at craft shows and farmers markets. Maybe a tester or two who really want to talk about the rub will see this......

But to your question yes we have experience with both. They are both good and they are very very good together.

Many thanks for the reply. I never tried my making my coconut oil out of anything other than but or hash. I've been making caps with the stuff for years, but always sticking with buds or hash for the most potency. Any idea how oral olive oil stacks up against oral coconut oil from buds or hash? I know it's widely believed that the higher the amount of MCTs the more potent the final product, and being so easy to cap means no smell and easy transport are huge bonuses. I make my coconut oil pretty strong and don't bother straining it but since I keep it solid and use it for capsules I had no idea of the smell. I imagine it does smell pretty intense, like hanging out at a jam show, after a while. I kinda enjoy that smell a little when at a festival (I've always had a weakness for cute hippie girls), but certainly not when I'm at work or trying to play it stealthy. Can you or anyone else here speak to the different effects between the two oils when made with high quality bud or hash and used orally?

Since you mentioned topical use, one of the best tools I've ever used for joint or muscle pain is a product called Absorbine Jr. Pain Relieving Liquid. It's made for horses and can be found at any small hardware store or horse supply shop, and it's just high-strength menthol (4%, so it's twice as strong as the most potent topical made for people). It works great for some pain. I usually add a few drops of alcohol-based cannabis tincture to a small amount of liquid and rub it in my joints or muscles after a long day, but I know coconut oil melted in my hand works well, too, and I'd imagine topical olive oil would, too. You'll smell like you bathed in mouthwash, but it will kick the ass of muscle and joint pain so well that I usually don't care what it smells like. I just thought I'd pass word along in case it can help anyone here or people you know in the real world with their pain. In all seriousness, cannabis tinctures or oils added to this liquid have been a great help to me and the few folks I share this with. It will rip open your sinuses and wake you up a little, but you can feel the menthol working its way down and soothing joint and soft tissue pain, and as that feeling dies down it is replaced by the feeling of the cannabis taking over and keeping the pain and inflammation away. I hope someone here gives it a shot and reports back, and I hope it helps someone in pain. It could also help cover the smell you mentioned. Folks would still smell pretty intense if they used a lot of oil, but I'd rather smell like mouthwash than a lot rat any day, personally.

I know of this stuff, my Grandmother used it swore by it, but grandpa would'nt sleep in the same room as her for the last 30 years.
