So Ive decided to let the girls ride out 7 more days max. It seems like the buds have put on a bit more weight in the last few days and I wanna see if I can get a little more out of each of em.

Forgot to water yesterday and both girls pots were bone dry. Letting a half gallon soak in now and going back in for a full water later after the soils hydrophobia is alleviated because its starting to run through.

Also cut the dli down a bit by dialing back to 10/14. Started that on Monday and I was wondering if it would push the plants to do anything and I think maybe they both are putting on a bit more weight? Idk hard to say without a control running at 12/12. Either way just messing around. Depending on how much longer I let these girls go, I may water one more time.

Been futzing with the plants all day yesterday and most of the morning today, hands were kinda sticky so I dont have any new pics.

So I air dried my smallest cola from the slurricane just to try out what its like

Obviously the flavor isn't there but goddamn is the high amazing. Euphoric, energetic, muse-like. Its one of those heady I wanna do shit or jam out highs. The only part I dont like is its a CREEPER. Half a bowl in and you dont feel shit, then a couple hits later its like you got ran over by a oil tanker. My tolerance is pretty low right now but I gotta say. This strain is a WINNER in my book. Best home grown high so far.

This is the bud, theres 2 smaller popcorn nugs along with it. Lots of trichs, sticky as hell. 10/10. It isn't dry completely yet still a lot of internal moisture but I couldn't wait. Its dry enough to smoke and it rolls so Im good.

So Ive pulled the plug on this grow. Let my plants go one extra week and it did seem to put on a little weight but it definitely helped the trich maturity out.

I was thinking about doing a progressive harvest and chopping all the main colas and letting the lowers dense up a bit more but both plants were pretty ready to come down and I prefer hanging the whole plant to slow the dry as much as possible.

Wanted to get a humidifier for the dry period but money's been too tight to be at all frivolous with it so Im at the whims of my house and current conditions are 66-68°F and 50-55%rh which the temp Im ok with but the humidity is a tad low. Ive got the exhaust fan running as low as it possibly can be, and my oscillating clip on running at the bottom of my tent. If the plants still aren't dry enough when I get paid Thursday Im going to buy the small vivosun one, not the tiny one but i think its 1.75 liter or something. It'll only be used to maintain humidity throughout the dry anyway, doesn't need to be big.

Plants smell great but it was a pain in the ass taking all those bamboo poles out before chopping.

I didn't water my plants at all since Tuesday. I know its a little counter productive if I want my dry time to last as long as possible and I gave them 24hrs of complete darkness right before the chop to see if it would do anything and the smell got stronger but that could be due to me not watering and the terps evaporating easier


Anyway no pics. Phone was dead after work yesterday cuz I forgot to charge it, but I'll have pics when its time to dry trim and jar. No wet trim done at all. Like I said I need as much moisture as possible. Im thinking these are gonna be dry enough to jar by Thanksgiving if conditions stay they way they are though. The longest I've ever gotten a dry to last is 6 days normally they are over dry by day 5, winter humidity and all

So Im doing something I haven't done ever before. Im reusing soil. I shook the soil off the roots of these 2 girls and with what I had left over from prepping the last run I should be able to just rejuvenate the used soil with some bagged compost and worm castings and start over again.

Next to grow is really up in the air right now. Im really liking growing out the In House strains I got and I really wanna try the tropical twist and citrus dream but I also wanna grow that strawberry cough from dp that I picked up a while back. Though its my longest flowering strain out of all of them so thats what's throwing me off right now. I may hold off on the Dutch passion till I get another tent. Thinking of using some of my taxes this year and either getting another 3x3 or a 4x4 if I do that I will probably just grow 1 or 2 in the 3x3 and leave the 4x4 for the faster growers.

Anyways just wanted to get that thought out before I forget.

Sunday morning I will be starting my next grow. I haven't exactly figured out if Im gonna stuff my 3x3 with 4 plants or just do one of each. My experience with slurricane #7 tells me I might have a long stretchy sativa leaning strain. Though 3 plants might be plenty.

As it says in the threadmark the strains for this grow are as follows

Citrus Dream
Gorilla Dosha V2
Slurricane #7 x Platinum Jelly Breath #5
All of these strains SHOULD finish around the same time, all 60-75 day flowering photos.

Everything else will be the same

Same light, same tent, same exhaust, organics again but this time I will be subbing the fox farm hf for a bag or 2 of Build a soil 3.0. Not fully just enough to get me 3-4 5 gallon bags worth of medium as I am reusing about 70% of the soil from the last run though it will need some love as its just been sitting in a tote for almost 7 months drying out. Im hoping all the beneficials in the build a soil 3.0 will help revitalize what I got left over but I may buy a small bag of humic acid, and worm castings.

If anyone comes and checks in on this thread, if you are familiar with the newer platform, can you give me a run down or a link on how we journal on the new site, or if mods plan on porting over stuff from people's profiles on here. Or if we all just start from scratch, would be sad but if it must be done then it must be done.

I hope so, navigating is just way different. This site, simple enough to figure out but its almost like stuff is hidden on the other, it took me 30 minutes to figure out how to type a message in stoner chat
