We're going away for a few days in a few weks and i have noone near enough to me that i know and trust enough to do the watering for 5 days.

Also my gf has asked the neighbours to feed the cats ! So i'll have to hide all paraphernalia etc ... damn and blast !

Pain in the ass!

Unless i get a DWC system set up before then and just put a lock on the door!

Just usin AFN to rant and think out loud,

Dude that sucks can you not connect up an auto watering system of some sort? Connect to the tap and it lets a bit out every few hours or when you set it? Ahhh that doesn't sort the neighbour problem, you can get automatic food dispensers for cats same with there shitters if there indoor cats?
I have found no matter how much you trust a friend when you go away something always happens to my babies :Sharing One:

Ye thanks bro but, unless i setup an auto-dwc and put a lock on the door then i'm just gonna have to suck it up.

Peace,

Going DIY DWC, ballast-fed. Will try a single plant.

Thanks for advice :)

With low lighting and a cap on excessive heat, can you not maybe go five days, water the day you leave and when you get back.?

I was able to do this for a six day period, but It was an outdoor grow.

One thing is for sure. Growing is a committment, and you can give up things to be with them or take a risk now and then.

Doesn't lessen the problem though

I feel ya man.

hey steely

how about a few low tech options.

When I have to go away for up to a week I use either:

WATERING SPIKES
These screw on to the top of soft drinks bottles and the valve on the side controls water flow from the bottle. I have had a 500ml bottle last 3 days just to empty itself into the pot.

here is a link so you can have a look

or

WATER IRIGATION SYSTEM
this option works the same as the watering spikes but has one reservoir and a hose that extends from it to up to 8 pots. Once again there are valves for each pot to control water flow. this option will last 5-7 days at its slowest setting.

here is a link for this one

I hope you find a solution and keep growing!
