Oh ok I think all use a Rubbermaid tote I got .... should work pretty good .

Hey AFN I was hoping someone would have some ideas on how to quiet an inline fan ? I've seen the build a box and put it in or the control fan dial switch... any other ideas or .... just do one of those two options ?

I made a super silent box for my fan, you can mainly only hear the air flow... I think its your only option bar buying a varic controller and they can be pricey..

You can pick up a good variac controller for around 50 or 60 bucks. I would advise against the small hydrofarm or whatever they are for like 25 bucks, very unreliable in my experiences. Some worked but they all still have a loud hum.

Lots of sound comes from the exhaust air,Build a cheap diy duct muffler like me lol
