Grow Mediums Cat Grows Green Poison by Sweet Seeds

That's dissapointing about the Ripleys OG man. How many seeds did you have? I used the paper towel method and then into soil after about 24hrs. If your seeds aren't getting maybe something is wrong with them. Perhaps @mephisto can help out with a new bean or two? I really want to see you grow them out. I'm thinking of doing Mephisto next run because their strains look awesome but definitely watching to see if they actually pop!
I've heard nothing but good reports on all Mephisto. It's strange how the Green Poisoin sprouts but not the Ripley's. If this one doesn't sprout, I'll soak one more in water overnight and either do paper towel method or plant directly into medium. I had a pack of 3 and another individual 1. If all three fail then I will contact the seller. I'm sure it's more than likely my own inexperience. It's an expensive lesson:wall:

Me too, works great! Glad I don't have the hard water issue. But, I may have to supliment with chloride since I use r/o water.
I use RO water also.
Lol I know, that is my huge Peace Lilly and she does get neglected... I can't smoke her, so......:smoking: I hope the second Ripley's will come through for me, but I wonder if the strain doesn't like the heat, it is warm on top of the wi-fi. Do you do paper towel method or just sow seed directly in pot?

Just right into the pot! I get it all ready and water a day before. The top center part where I plant my seed is mostly coco coir, since my mix is hot. I put it in my tent with the light and everything on and let it sit overnight so that the temps and everything have situated inside the pot and then I make a little spot about half an inch or less. Drop seed in sideways (not sure if that actuallyy matters) and cover. Few ml of water around it and then I wait....

Hi Cat, sorry to hear about ur bunked seeds. Even the best of us have that problem and im certainly not the best. My method is bottled water in a shot glass. Seeds go in until they sink. The glass stays in a dark warm area for that duration. Ur house just needs about 70 f or 20 c for those metric ppl (thats me!!). After it has sunk it goes into a container containing a dakp papertowl. I usually keep it between the towel on the edge of it so it gets air and stays moist. Usually 1-3 days for taproots to appear then plant as usual.

Thanks Eye and Strakey. I'm now on day 3 of waiting for the second seed. If this fails, I'll certainly try a mixture of both your methods. The last grow were sown using direct to medium method. This new method of cubes is a link on AFN Academy section "The Ronin way"

They like it warm and wet cat. I'd say just try out the simple old paper towel method to see if they are even cracking. Maybe something is wrong with your cubes? I've never had it take more than 24hrs in a paper towel.

I have tried scaring my beans before but I haven't ever noticed a difference with it. There probably is one but small enough to not make a difference in my opinion.

It's a hormone certified by the state of Washington as organic and recognized by Omri as organic. When given the seedlings it acts as a chemical scarify and help some sprout quicker. Although it's different on every type of plant and it may not work that well on cannabis.

When sprayed on growing plants that causes them to branch and Bush out and stay squat. The reason I know this is I was reading through the approved list of pesticides for cannabis in Washington and that's where I found the two hormones. The other is cytokinin. Down the road I may experiment with both of those. What they really are is a means of using chemicals to replace a lot of the training that we do.

Actually they're not really just hormones for manipulating the plant growth.
