I went into my local pound shop the other day and to my surprise I saw they now carried a range of nutrients :jaw:

In the interest of science I decided to grow one plant using only pound shop nutrients and coco, so we can all see what they do.

In the pound shop range they have grow, bloom and pk 13/14. I bought one of each of these and I also picked up a pack of coco that expands to roughly 10 litres.

Here are the bits

So far I have soaked the coco and mixed in a little perlite, then I put the mix in a 12l cloth pot. I have had the coco sitting in the grow room for 24hrs now and its about time to get something in the pot!

I was thinking about growing a big daddy with this lot as I have some going in soil and could get a good comparison but impatience got the better of me and I have put a week old Stone dragon in for this test.

I have got another Stone Dragon that's the same age that's kindly being donated by a friend so when it arrives I will put it in a 12l cloth pot but I will use soil instead of coco. I am trying to use like for like so I will use bio bizz grow and bloom, and because the pound shop range has pk 13/14, which I don't usually use, I have had to invest in some canna pk 13/14 which I will test against the cheap stuff.

In the next update I will show you the two test subjects and give you the full specs on these nutrients

Here are the details for the nutrients. I was going to write it all out but a picture is worth a thousand words so here they are.

Ok it seems to have uploaded the pictures so I will show you the babies

The stone dragon in the cloth pot is the one that is being grown with the cheap nutes

The one in the airpot got transplanted today so they are both in 12 litre cloth pots now.

Also the airpot one is nearly a week older than the cloth pot, but it should all even out in the end.

They got their first taste of nutes today.
Cheapo got 1.5 ml grow phed at 5.7
pricey got 1.5 ml bio bizz grow phed at 6.3
Lets see how they react to their food.

Pictures are uploading where they want so I hope you can all see them.

Which pound shop was it? 99p store? Poundland? B&M? Home Bargains?? Pound Stretcher? Home Discount Store? Lol why do I know all the pound shops? Anyway starting first grow soon so could do with these nutes. Saw some Dutch nutes in Lidl last week for a quid. Didn't know the brand so didn't bite. Was holding out for some Biobizz.

apologies for the break in the diary.

I have however kept pictures an records of the test subjects on a week by week basis so I will e doing a big update either tonight or in the morning
