Bed in one way i agree with you principles, but if everyone got everything they needed free (see list in your post) there would be no taxes.

As corrupt as capitalism is it does promote competition, which in turn promotes inovation and diversification which is why we have so many unique genetics including auto's.

Having said that nothing wrong with traditional landraces as long as they are treated with respect and not just turned into low quality brick weed.

It is very hard to create a system where eveyone agrees nay virtually impossible, which is why we get totalitarian leaders, who won't give any one a choice and the people have it far worse than in capitalist countries.

Even with comunism life was massively unfair and the standard of living was much lower than capilist countries.

If you have to work hard for something and you get a reward (profit from work or weed from seeds) You will appriciate it more and treat it with respect.
If you just expect something to be given to you and you don't have to put any effort in to getting it, it is more likely you will not respect it and treat it with contempt.

Almost every person on the face of the planet will try and sway things to thier favour it is human nature and whilst this still happens there is no hope of even getting near a utopian world.

The price of seed may be more than you want to pay, but the amount of product you get after growing them works out a lot cheaper than buying it from a guy.

Everyday we should all try to make the world a little bit better and the vibe of the members here at AFN surely points to the fact that this community/family is playing it's part.

Everyday this forum makes me smile and sometimes I laugh uncontrolably like a drain with my sides about to split at some of the wonderful humor here.

I am a passionate mutherfucker with strong opinions. I know how utopian they are but I feel it is better to express them and plant seeds (so to speak) in the consciousness of mankind rather than keep quiet because of how silly or re-cock-ulous they are. Someday they will be the norm...but for now, they are not and someone needs to start steering the ship to the lovelier waters.

I feel impelled to encourage people to OVERGROW and give their surplus to their friends & family rather than sell it. I feel impelled to SCREAM my disdain for those so-called medical-growers who actually charge money or allow shops to charge money for medicinal marijuana. The last thing we potheads/pot-growers should be doing is emulating the pharmaceutical companies.

So, rather than continue to argue against the seed-sellers, I will encourage each of us to breed our own seeds and share them with each other for free.

Someday---who knows when---we will be able to have our own free seedbank here at AFN. Imagine that!! Imagine the variety we will have to choose from! And all we would have to pay for them is postage & packaging!

It all begins with a dream...and the expression of that dream...

I hear you loud and clear Bed, I too am a passionate guy,but in the past I have got into a few scrapes, which have had long term consiquences, which I rather hadn't arisen.

Having said that I still stand by my principles and no one will change me into something I don't want to be.

It is said the nail that stand proud is the nail that gets hammered down. This often true, but not always, think of the nail you hang a picture on,if it did not stand proud the the picture would not be there. So it is better to create a beautiful picture of the world of how it could be. No one will look at you the nail holding the picture up, but instead at the beautiful picture. When peopl see such beauty , they they desire it and want it and then you show people how to produce this beautiful picture themselves. Which in turn means you have helped other people to create a more beautiful world , whilst still standing proud and not having people bash your head in with a metaphorical hammer. By including people in the creation of a better world , they are more likely to look after it and protect it from destuction.


It sounds like you have a plan Starting a co-op or collective that provides free seed or maybe for a sujested donation at the descression of the reciever of the seeds is the way forwards.

It sounds to me you have the right idea, better to be a creater and maker than be a shaker and breaker.

Often the rules of life works like a set of wheels within wheels, there is no point trying to break the big wheels, they are too well established and protected, instead create new wheels which in time grow and become the new big wheels.

Politicians and governments on the whole are full of idiots and as someone once said to me "Don't argue with idiots, they will just bring you down to thier level and beat you with expirience."

The seed co-op should be relatively easy to start and maintain. The co-op would not have to reveal its address. Peeps would simply email or PM their name and address and requested seed and then wait for them to arrive by 2nd class mail.

The co-op should be started by someone who is already wealthy enough to afford to send free seeds by post. This way we can avoid any hassles with online payments or cash. Also, if the seeds didn't germinate or got crushed in the post then no one could really complain about being ripped off. They invested nothing more than the time to send an email.

I realize no such thing can occur here at AFN because of the Rules (for everyone's safety)...but the Rules don't forbid the advertising of such an email address that offers free seeds.

When I win a lottery jackpot...I'll offer free seeds by post....In the meantime, you mark my words: Someone will do it without winning a lotto jackpot. You just watch.

In a way, AFN already offers free seeds via their competitions, don't they?

Let's branch out, brothers & sisters! Let's overgrow this world and undermine the Demons of Profits. Let's drive the prices down for weed & seeds by giving it away!

Seed prices are high because it is a grey market world wide. Competition drives price down. For a world wide market there is very little competition. There is also no protection to breeders. Stich has talked about different"breeders" buying others works and just renaming it. With a photo strain seeds are pretty easy to mass produce. Clone 20 ladies, veg for a couple months, and smack them up, thousands of seeds. Ive gotten 100 seeds out of mexi commercial oz. Autos are different.

Overgrow tye government is an old battle cry and probably the easiest to do. I used to save all my seeds and throw them out.

If the world market was open marijuana seeds would be along the lines of other seeds. Not your garden variety vegetable but other exotic plants. $10 20 bucks a dozen. Risk, lack of competition, lack of supply and high demand make for high prices. Equilibrium price . . .

Anyone think this is anything? Hoping my beans were not taken. A little info on east coast all my mail goes through NY. I hope there not onto the same Chicago gig... I made an order at TSD they sent it out in two orders as a part of the order was a incredibowl i420. Than the next day a package went out containing the seeds. When I go to track the incredibowl which was sent first this is what it says:
Your item was processed through and left our JAMAICA, NY 11499 facility on August 21, 2013 at 4:39 pm. The item is currently in transit to the destination. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.

Sounds like its on its way... Now here is the odd one which contains the seeds... It says its been processed but that was yesterday and I see it still hasn't left the facility?

Tracking doesn't pick up until its in my city. I just received a order of 6 beans from TSSC as always a stop in NYC than my door step this past Saturday, so I'm very confidant that your fine as wine.

thanks for the encouragement! :crossing fingers: as well. The incredibowl was what i was most excited for and it looks as if it went through without a problem!
