So I thought I would take the grills off the fans and clean them but found out the screws just keep turning and don't come out.Now they wont tighten back up and I cant figure out how to open the main housing because the screws have a weird head on them and I have no idea how they work.Anyone else have this problem?:cuss:

I've taken the faces of mine a few times bro with a small Allen key, never touched the screws by the fans though maybe there is a nut the other side???

The fans are held in place with a bolt and nut thats why it's turning, ask Larky :-)

managed to get a pic of the offending nuts!

gonna be tight getting a spanner in there

If you pull the grill up it should pull the nut up to the fan so you can tighten

I tried that but it didn't work.Do the grill screws also hold the fan in place?

Supprised pulling the grill up doesn't stop the nut turning? When tightening up don't put any down force on the screwdriver, just lightly sit it in the screw and turn

thanks for dropping me in it villain :Gary:

although i only unscrewed one of them  you need to strip the unit back to nearly the bare bones to get to them nammy, i wish you had asked before you done it. if you can get a microfibre cloth or something along those lines and a slim screwdriver you can get them pretty clean, and also using a hoover works but i find the cloth and screwdriver works best

Thanks guys for your help. I got to the fans. You have to take the aluminum plate off the bottom then unscrew one of the side plates where the air comes out and remove that.Than there are four screws that hold the aluminum plate with three modulars connected to it.Remove those screws and take out the plate and then you can get to the fans. You can take the fans out but I just took a brush and cleaned the fan blades off then cleaned the dust out with compressed air. Then put every thing back and your good to go.
