Lighting Cob options

I got the cxb3590s, will use angelina reflectors.

Problem I have with mounting is I don't have enough space in between the cobs lol.
I'm doing 2/3 seperate bars each with a seperate driver, I could mount on the side but then the middle cob might get heated by the driver.
Need to know how far from the cobs the driver can be mounted without having more than a 1v drop, I only have about that spare lol
Nice setup jimmy

You can have the driver off the aluminium a bit by putting nuts or a couple washers in-between the driver and the angle.

I did think about that or useing some rubber bobbins but was still thinking that which ever cobs it's closest to will warm abit more no?
I'm not sure how hot the driver gets yet.

Also I thought on the side will mean I have to balance the mounting point for the weight difference

So I got my light up 150w of cxb3590 90cri.
Also have reflectors when I get the screws bug all I can say is wow.
Also for anyone worried about ordering from kingbrite my order was sent on saterday and delivered today, bank holiday Monday lol !!

Now... to fully replace my 600w hps could I get away with one more set to make 300w? These are on 120-1400 driver
Pic with just hps and with just the cob bar

You dont have to mount the driver on the light either, you could keep the driver in a different room if you wanted even... If heat is an issue for you Id suggest keeping the drivers out of the tent, but if you need heat you can always move them back in. Just an idea. Electricity doesnt care much if it has to travel through 1 foot of wire or 10 before it gets to the cobs.

Absolutely, I just built another system and have the driver externally. Much better for me. And has the added bonus that the driver is now very gently heating my drying drawers

And I'm not talking about my pants :crying:

See now iv asked this question and received no reply I wanted to mount the drivers remotely but didn't want any voltage drop, I'd need to add 2-3 metres between the cobs and driver so was abit worried doing that
