Lighting Cob options

Everyone has different opinions. I think the difference is minimul between 3000 and 3500 in the red or flower part but the 3000 does have a lot less blue for vegging. 3500k is the most common and what I use. If you were going for a specific veg light I would go with 4000k.

Apologies i went in a different direction i was just pointing stonehead to stuff which was readily available in the uk...mouser might do a 1050mA driver when i can get to a PC i will take a look for you...i believe CREE cobs are available direct in the uk but cost £35-45 a Piece which is mega pricey!

The only 1812's ive found are from Digikey but they are £31 each...if you go to Mouser you can get CREE CXA3590 80Cri 3000K for £32 each...which is actually a fairly good price...its 80 Cri which if im not going mad hasnt got a spectrum as nice as the 90Cri but someone might be able to chip in again with better knowledge...

The citizens will only work out marginally cheaper than Cree, which is probably why i would go for the 1212's on ebay for £45 for 5....i dont know how much the efficiencies drop but probably running all 5 at 1050mA would give a fair amount of light...

Ok I'm back on this for some more help.

If I have 3 3590s 36v what driver would I use.

Iv decided on the 2 runs of 3 3590s running at 50w each. Then if 2 runs is not enough I can add another.
Doing 1 run at a time

Thanks guys

Ordering 3 133x70 heatsinks with solderless holders and thermal pads. Will be going for 3590s just need to know what driver is going to be best in a 6 light system

Sometimes it's better to learn than have the answers given.

36v x 3 cobs = 108v minimum driver
36v x 1.4amp = 50.4 watts

3 cobs need a 108v and for 50w cobs you'll need a 1400ma driver.

The voltage and amperage fits.
