Lighting Cob options

Always is better to learn @bigsmo but quicker to have a pro tell me the right answer. Would the 120w driver be enough for 3 would that run 3 at 50w?
Just saw does 150w that's strange lol.
I'm no electrician and this is all confusing me.

But iv made a start on ordering the heatsinks as they were my biggest headache.

Thanks for your help though everyone

If you want 50w cobs you need 1400ma driver. They are 36v so you multiply 36x1.4

The driver I posted a picture of from mouser is rated for 108v which fits 3 cobs 3x36=108 and it's a 108v driver.

So iv ordered my 133x70 heatsinks, with solderless holders and thermal pads plus I also ordered the driver you recommended thanks for that. Payday or sooner il be ordering 3 cxb 3590 db top bin with the angelina reflectors.

Fingers crossed this light goes well then I can do another 1/2 when I can afford it.

Thanks for all the help guys I apprieciate it

Half way there, I received my heatsinks and holders, built a frame, ended up with a 32inch bar with 13.5 inch centre spacing.
waiting on delivery from mouser on the driver then just need to buy the cobs and reflectors.

Which is my next dilemma, can I afford to lose lumens and go for 90cri or do I just go for 3500 top bin 80cri??

Thanks for all the help I'm glad I'm actually getting there after god knows how long :)

Just hope it's worth all the hassle lol

From the comparisons on this site, i would go 90cri all the way.. Check out the 1812 80cri vs 1812 90cri..same wattage, 90 is killin it... Lumens are for humans...
Cheers

Its in the diy section, pretty close to the top.. First page or 2.. If your going cree, i would say 3000k 90cri.. There are lots of charts showing real world tests of crees 3000k actually testing around 3300-3400k... I dont use cree as they quite overpriced, but if i did it would be 3000k 90...
Just my .02$

got some cobs, 3000k 90cri, got my driver today from mouser the service to the uk was spot on can't rate the speed enough.

But how can I mount the driver here? Or is it realistic to remotely mount the driver?
I'm abit stuck on this bit
