I run 6 in my 4x4 as well, but i think the photos i am running at the moment could probably use 2-3 more

Just got to 6 in my 4x4...about to order 3 for my 2x4.

Thanks for the input guys 6 seems to be the lucky number i will be ordering 2 2700's to supplement the 3500's first thing in the morning [emoji1360][emoji41]

From what I understand, and I know @BigSm0 has done some work in this area and can probably explain better than i, photos can take more light than autos do.
You can think of it in terms of total photons absorbed. Since photos flower in 12 hours of light, they can take more light.
Autos, flowering in 18-24 hours of light, need fewer lights in the tent as there is more photon absorption over time.
Ppfd+hours of light= total light

For the 4x4 5-6 cobs is key. Some have used 4 with good results too. 3x3 is 9sq’ and a 4x4 is 16sq’, it’s nearly double. 4 work best in the 3x3. For the 4x4 this is really a good time to add additional spectrums too. The 2700’s don’t appear as bright but they do have a lot more red which is great for flower.

6 in the 4x4 look good..you still recommend 3 in a 2x4, correct?

I recently purchased two autocobs both of which has very noticeable scratches in the black paint. Is this standard for your quality control?

Kind of a bummer. Might have to return these and go with something else. I dont like newly purchased items to be damaged..

I dont think that will hurt the light itself. Might have been rubbing together while it was shipped. Does it turn on?

A new car with a huge scratch in the paint will still turn on and drive.Is that my point? Clearly it is not. The pics are of two different lights. Both scratched noticeably. This reflects poorly on the manufacturer. the lights were packaged very well so they were sent this way not damaged in transit. thx tho
