I totally agree. But in the end I'm guessing the cobs will win over the others, unless some genetics show a beast plant. I use both types right now, but the autocobs have made the most dense bud I have ever grown.

IMO it was a bad day for mods and instead of asking what would work best for everyone it was changed to make it easier. Mossy asked and 3 posts later it was changed before anyone could say otherwise. My comment of changing it to blurple and all others fall under COB was liked by many here. Really that's what it was all about. The blurple battle would have made several happy while still keeping cobs separate. This would have been the biggest year for COB lighting. I saw 6 different styles of COBs and after all the smack talk about lights here that battle would have really showcased the new style of lighting and seemed like there were more in for a cob battle than led also. Another thing that bothered me is general battle is exactly the same as lighting battle. I feel like I'm doing 2 battles against the same people with the same lights.

I have noticed the same thing. I must be out in left field still. A light battle is the same as a regular grow battle. Why call it a light battle when everyone needs a light to grow. If they were doing away with cob, led, Ext they should have done away with the whole thing. As you mentioned in your post it’s the same battle now just twice. Way to complicating for no reason other than a few people’s problem of having a mixed light. I would have been more than happy to see anyone with a supplemented cob light in the cob battle. Especially when the leds are less efficient than the inefficient cobs they use

I think in outdoor grows this year they should have a sunlight challenge.

I totally understand big, you are always good in my book. Folks get crazed with battles, I get crazed when plants dont fo right. My money is still on an autocob winner! I wish we could have run 2 separate bsttles.

These 3500K AutoCobs suck. I don't want you to have the same problem I just experienced. I just cut off a 22 inch cola bud that weighed 4.7oz wet (Dinafem Critical 2.0) yesterday and left the rest of the plant to fatten a little more. My gosh @BigSm0 if I can't get to 5 oz I am switching to 2 60 watt incandescent bulbs.
