First time using coco mix from humbolt called Royal Gold. It's a coco, humus, and perlite mix.I'm at day thirty with three girls in 3.5 gal air pots and I have a mass of roots only one inch below soil and roots coming out the bottom. This is good but the coco dries out so fast I have to water almost every day and I have been feeding nutes at every water. At this rate I will use all my nutes up well before there done and was thinking about giving nutes every other water or every second water.Question is will feeding them less in the coco have bad results or weaker plants than feeding every water?I also get lots of runoff compared to promix organic and its kind of a hassle.:smoke:

I use H&G lineup but coco is pretty similar I haven't used royal gold yet. Some strains I have grown love feeds every water. Love Love Love it. And some do ok with feed.water.water. Those are usually the ones that require practically no nutrients though.
I have the best results mixing it a tiny bit weak and feeding with every water. The plants seem more vigorous in coco when they have ample nutes. I think organic or not will make a difference too. If you were using say just General organics line you could easily get away with feed.water.water. But with chem nutes (salt based) the coco is so well aerated that I can see the plant using them all up and wanting more. Just my two cents, take it with two grains of salt!

I use Roots Organics so I guess I will back the dose down and feed every water or at least every other water, thanks for the help.

No problem, hope it all goes swimmingly!
