Grow Mediums CoCo flood LED PurpleLights (NLxPurple Kush)

Well i had one of the girls that was looking a little sick. Couldnt tell if it was just a bad seed or maybe some bad wind burn so ive moved her around the tray a little with no recovery. Here's what she looks like. Ill prob just let her go a little long as its really not costing me anything.

Today is day 16 and they are looking good. Getting nice and fat! PPM dropped to about 610 and PH rose to 6.2! Which is crazy because i got about 17 gallons in my rez and shouldn't be raising this much! I dropped it back down to 5.8

Have you top fed one to test the Ph of the runoff? Unwashed coco has been known to alter the ph. My current grow is a prime example. I didn't completely rinse my coco a few times before I used it. I stated having huge problems. After checking everything out I tested my runoff. 6.0 Ph in and 4.0 out.

Your ph is going the opposite direction but might be worth checking.

Hey Bromeo, first off thanks for the Rep!! And no i didnt really check the run off. I've been adjusting the PH down and its been flooding once a day for about 2 weeks. All the other plants are fine. I washed all the coco from the start with reg tap water from my well. I flushed them all with RO water before using any of the coco boss cubes. They are all in the same tray with the same nutes so i would assume that others would have the same problem if it was ph. Never know could be though! I'll double check it when i can.

Anyways, I was wondering when to know when to up feedings from once per day to 2 times per day. Ive picked out the plants about 12 hours into the light cycle and they still feel kinda heavy. Not sure if its just me or what, but from the growth they are doing very well. Today is day 19 and they are starting on the 5th real set of leaves. They have also had shoots poking out for about 3-4 days so lots of growth. Im going to check them now and see how they look!!!

I'd start checking the bags throughout the day and record when they are lightest then adjust the flood times accordingly.

Well i checked the run off on a few of them that had some yellowing on the leaves and i put water in at about 5.5ph and the run off was 6.4-6.5! I did it about 5 hours after they get fed in the morning and almost as soon as i put water in the bags i saw it coming out the holes on the sides. I also checked on some of the others that looked fine and the same thing. SO not sure where to go from here. Prob just try to top feed with PH water to "flush" the coco.

Anyways, today is day 22. Ive got 2 of the girls showing pistols. Not a lot but i can tell that they are female. So i know my breeding project worked correctly!! Im hoping the rest follow suit in the next few days. They are getting fat but still kinda small, maybe 9-10" but they are starting on their 6th set of leaves. They have a nice smell to them thats starting to come through. If they double in size during flower that will be perfect. I can even go a little bigger.

Yesterday i topped off the res and added some RO water back into to. Boosted PPM to 740 and dropped PH to 5.4. It tends to float up during the week, so to help that i kept the PH low. I also thought this might help to bring the PH of the coco down IF there is a issue with it.

Heyo fatcal! Nice to meet u bro cool setup! Love these table setups they can produce something fierce! I might be able to shed some light on the multiple feeds from my little experience.. @Roark is the pro with the flood system tho u should ask him. But if you feed multiple times per day the pot will pretty much stay heavy all the time. Once she gets huge and drinks alot you might notice them get light.. but even then I just raise the feeding frequency so they never get thirsty.

In my experience I noticed i get more deficiencies if I let the coir dry out, I'd get horrible deficiencies if the pot got bone dry. My last grow I used LECA on top and bottom and the pot pretty much stayed soaked the entire time. Very little deficiency in late flower compared to my other grows. Good luck man I'm subbing up for the grow can't wait to see yiur mini forest!

I wouldn't be sweating the ph rise. If its only going up to 6.2. but that's me. How high is your overflow set too? Like when you flood the table does it cover the pots? Flooding up halfway helps to keep the tops of the coco from getting too moist. Damping off has killed more of my plants then anything else.

Could we get a regular light pic of the sick plants?

Hey guys. Thanks for the subs. I did some reading for a while and i realized that the PH runoff wasnt really the best way to determine the problem. Im thinking it may be a Iron deficiency. Its only a few of the leaves getting some yellowing to them.
My flood hits the bottom of the bag about 3-4" up and then I assume wicks up the coco to the top. I started with the 2 feedings a day a few days ago and the growth difference was amazing. I'm thinking they needed more food.

Anyways, today is day 25 and all the girls are showing now. They have started their pre-flower stretch and are around 10-12" right now. They are starting to get the smell of flower and getting big! Ill have to get some pictures after i get off work today. Im thinking i might need another LED to kinda spread them apart some, even though MARS says they cover a 2x2 in flower( which is odd because they are rectangular....)

I didnt use much cal/mag in my res and im using the LEDs so im thinking that it is either iron or cal/mag. I think that cal/mag has iron in correct? Anyways ill get more pics tonight. Thanks guys!

Well i got some pictures since I just got home. The table floods about 2"/5cm up into the bags. I got holes on the bottom and sides of the bags to help with overflow/fill. Here's the whole set up so far! IMG_1755.JPG IMG_1756.JPG

Here are a few pics of that some of the plants have going on. With "real" lighting LOL IMG_1757.JPG IMG_1758.JPG IMG_1759.JPG
Not sure if this leaf structure is genetic or cause but a deficiencyIMG_1760.JPG

And here are 2 of the REALLY bad one. Not really sure what is causing it but it is a LOT more dark green than the rest of them IMG_1761.JPG IMG_1762.JPG

PH is rising still, im not overly concerned with it. Seems like its just "one of those things" that happen in COCO. They are drinking about a gallon a day between them all so thats good. Starting on their 7/8th set of real leaves and shooting pistols out from most sites. Also starting to see more stretch between nodes so ive been raising my lights up, trying to keep them 12" away. I dont see any light burn so thats a plus! Thanks for checking me out!

DAY: 28 pics. Some of the plants are starting to get bigger. Prob 16-18"9-4-15.JPG
Day: 30 pics. I went to do some bending to see how elastic these girls are and lets just say that these things bend like a girl doing yoga! I layed them down sideways about half way up the stock without crushing the stock. You can see in the pics they have a S shape to them! 9-6-15.JPG 9-6-15-2.JPG

Day 31: Well the girls have been drinking HEAVY for the past few days. I would say 2-2.5 gallons a day! I added back 5 gallons of spring water with 5ml calmag, 5ml micro, 6ml bloom and that put the whole res at about 840 PPM which i thought was high. Well that was yesterday and today the res is down to 790 PPM. Around day 36/37 im going to pull the res and clean the table down and mix pure flowering nutes. I'm going to need to hook up a scrubber soon. The girls have a nice earthy smell to them and they are starting to bud up a little on the top.
Here is a pic of them today. I moved them and grouped them by size so the one in the front isnt the same one as the other pictures. I've got 5 that are tall and lanky and 4 that are shorter and bushy. 9-7-15.JPG
