Grow Mediums coco runoff ph???

Glad to have found the hidden coco thread!! Lol! So I'm still pretty much a noob! Have had a few successful grows in soil and wanted to try coco! I purchased hydrofarm Plant ¡t coco done my research and rinsed with ph water then conditioned the coco with 10ml calimagic with the last gallon through ! Germ was in process! By the way 2 sweet seed cream caramel autos! Been ph water at 5.8 and am getting runoff at like 6.5-7.1 is this normal or should runoff ph be closer to 5.8? Oh and has anyone tried out blu planet nute line with coco?? Hope to get sum good feedback and tips thanx AFN !!

Keep flushing her with 5.8 water till your run off is 5.7-5.9. Generally, coco run off will wonder a bit depending how often you water her, anywhere from 5.6-6.1 range is nothing to be alarmed by.. Keep the run off in that range and your girls will be happy. - Water 3 times a day to keep the bad PH away - Just a cute saying i go by. It works.

If your plants look good you shall NOT even check run off in coco.... it does not work like in soil and you will not get a accurate reading in your run off from coco, you have to make a slurry test to get that.

But the first rule when growing in coco is...if your plants look good...dont check your run off...

sometimes I had runf off reading @ 6.5 - 6.8 with awesome looking plants and that freaked me out...then I read up about it and since that i NEVER check run off when growing in coco

Thanks for the good info! 5 gal pot I have flushed with 10 gallons of 5.8 water and still runoff of 6.3-7.0 with good looking plants so don't quite understand so I'm just gonna keep on keeping on lol

Thanks Justin! Your info kinda eases the mind like a nice bong rip! Lol ! Plants look good and since my original post I have done a slurry test with 1 cup of coco from the rootzone and 5 cups of distilled water left it sit for 30 mins and got a reading at 5.8 exactly where I want to be so the run off is inaccurate like you say thanks for the wise words
