Ok I'm getting ready open my coco so what do I need do rinse it or what.I need all the help I can get my first time using this stuff..Thanks

Yea, shower it.
Then precharge with some Ca/Mg.

I would throw it in 5gals of ph water and add more as you need it until its expanded then let that drain real good and then soak it again with ph water with cal mag and youre good to grow!

Once you start to use it you'll see how easy it is. As long as you keep the nutrients flowing and the flushes constant then you will love coco!

That's how I did do it and I hope it's easy and I ordered a photo pen and think it's junk I'm sending it back and getting another one.

Do you guys add anything with it?...perlite, or any other "soil" additives? how long do you let sit in calmag solution? and I assume you continue feeding calmag throughout grow? and what is the best PH to set in and for the grow? any variance in Nute feeding, or keep feeding and amount the same as soil? and do you treat it like soil when water feeding..as in do you let it get almost dry before watering agian..sorry for all the questions..very interested

I personally don't. I use 100% coco. You can add perlite if you want but,I personally wouldnt do more than 80/20 coco/perlite. After it drains real good I give it another soak with ph water and cal mag until I see run off and then its good to go, no waiting needed.

Coco can be amended but imo its a lot more work. That's a personal decision you have to make man. I like to think of coco as soil (although it is wayyy different) I hand water my girls what I do is nutes on Monday and Friday every other day I give ph water with cal mag and maybe voodoo or koolbloom depending on the stage they are in. And about every other week I like to flush her real good with just PhD water. Then I go back to my routine. Again you have to find what works best with your genetics in your grow room. Hope this helps brother. Like I said coco is intimidating but it is the best medium I've ever used.
