Hey AFN,

Was looking to make a batch of coconut canna infused oil for capsules and for using as a topical rub for pain.

has anybody ever tried to put finely grounded bud into a tea bag and then into a pot of water and coconut oil simmering over an entire day to extract the cannabinoids with success?

Was thinking of getting some empty tea bags like below to save straining at the end of the process and to make the whole job easier.

Opinions much appreciated.

Do u have a crock pot?works better. You can simmer it use enough water so oil is completely on top .try to keep temps Between 250-270 not above 320 at all make sure you mix around teabag too. freeze after remove all ice your good to go. Just found post sorry for late feedback

I usually wrap my ground up buds in some cheese cloth, put it in a jar of butter, and let the jar set in some simmering water for a minimum of 5 hours. Kinda similar to what you're doing, and it works fine for me.

Go to a kitchen supply place and get a good, sturdy sieve. Sieve out most of the solids, using a large spoon to press out the remaining liquid.
