Howdy good folks,

I have a bit of a dilemma.

I'm away for a week next Sunday and I'm wondering should I harvest and dry or wait until I return?

The ladies are nearly 10 weeks from sprouting. A few of the trichs on the biggest plant are amber. (say 5-10%)

Do I risk getting a couch lock effect if I wait a week?

So if I understand, it's harvest now or in 10 days when you get back? I'm torn, I'd say, cut and hang the whole plant (so it drys as slowly as possible) right before you walk out the door, let it hang whole, and hope 7 days isn't to much drying.

If you don't want the couch lock affect I'd say cut her before you leave. It'll make for a nice welcome home. :pass:

Thanks for the advice. Much appreciated.

I'm definitely leaning towards cutting.

Should I trim or just hang as is? The plants are pretty big.

What kind of humidity should I be aiming for?

I'd leave it whole, 7 days is kinda on the long side for drying, it's usually a 4-5 day process, am thinking the additional plant material will slow the dying process. Most of the guys usually shoot for about 62% humidity for the finished product. That's a little damp for me, I aim for 59%. better smoking in joints. As long as your relative humidity is low-medium, I'd hang it in a dark room and head out on your trip. Or you can cut it, run it by my place... I swear I'll watch it well till you get back!:baked:

Thanks again.

Yeah. I'm going to hang it I think. It's either that or I'm couch bound. Saturday is the ideal day to harvest I think.

Most of the trichs are cloudy by now and a few turning amber. A week later and I'm sure I'd be looking at nearly all amber.

This is my first grow so I'm only going by what I've read and advice from good folk such as yourself.

I only vape now. I gave up smoking anything abut 5 years ago basically because I had to. :(

I'll drop it by your house on the way. All in the name of science!!
