What the hell! you blaming MERICA fer the insane laws we have today? Let me tell you sumthin mister... you are exactly right.

Well, in my case, seventy-one days to go! And yes, for those who wonder if I'm ever going to quit cracking jokes and grow something, I'm waiting for July 1. I figured I've waited for forty years (well, except for those plants in the seventies that my uncle found, and that horrible attempt at growing in the eighties), I can wait another seventy-one days and be legal.

I say 3-5yrs the feds will legalize it.

Maybe, maybe not. Non of the candidates for president are for it, or are likely to support any bill until they are sure they have someone else to blame if things go wrong............. I predict we're actually going to have a big shitstorm ( Thank you Mr. Leyhe...........lol ) before it all shakes out. Lets face it, 80% of the " legal" states have totally bullshit "legal" programs, and several ( NJ etc. ) that have had program for 2 or more years but have never implemented them. when I see several more states make it legal across the board like Co. and Ak., then I'll be much more optimistic. In the mean time, if we aren't vigilant, it could go back the other way. The anti lobby is still very powerful.

Its been legal almost az year now in NY. NOT ONE grow op or dispensary is in place. NO regulatory agencies in place. It is a political move by a Gov, that hates pot but wants to be presidient ( GOD FORBID!!! ). I'm surprised Cuomo and Christie haven't joined forces in fighting legalization!

You know... I gotta get something off my chest.

Please, don't get me wrong. I'm beyond stoked that cannabis is becoming more and more accepted in the USA, and elsewhere. But... I'm slightly offended.

How in God's name, did recreational sales of Marijuana become legal in the United States, before Canada? I mean... I live in British Columbia for christ sake! What about us??

(sorry, it's really just the jealousy talking)

I'm with pop on the president issue. NO ONE is going to back the herb movements. Clinton's had the chance in the 90's and even told voters they (Bill) would back the compassionate use act. HE LIED!!!!!!

It would be more interesting to see a class action lawsuit against ALL gov officials since prohibition started. On the grounds that the are guilty of involuntary manslaugter for all the cancer patients, hiv/aids, epileptics oh and all the people who have died smoking spice! Not least of all for the lives they have wrecked with incarceration for pot. They knew cannabis was helpful. They commissioned the f**king reports. Murderers and liers the lot of them!!!!!

Even if the Federal government in the USA legalizes pot, the individual states will be responsible for licensing, monitoring distribution, and any taxes imposed for the sale of weed.
If all the states use the Colorado model, we should be OK.
But I can see other states taxing the shit out of smoke so an ounce/28 grams will be $500.
Or like Georgia does with liquor distribution, restrict the number of licenses for distribution to friends of the politicians. They just had a debate on whether to allow individual micro breweries distribute their beer but decided to keep the current distribution system intact.
And individuals can only brew a certain amount of beer/wine. I do not think they allow individuals to distill hard liquor for consumption in Georgia.
