Not looking forward to having to look what to make for dinner tonight. I have no clue what we even have in the freezer and then figure how to defrost in time. Why can't the wife give me extra notice.

There are ways to quick defrost stuff....especially thinner stuff (chops, etc..)

Might be some hamburgers in the one freezer and that will be easy enough. Don't think we have any pork chops.

You can cook burgers from frozen to be honest....its certainly not ideal...but it works.
