New Grower Damaged seed & Ph questions

I'm about to germinate my seeds but before i do i have a couple of questions.
Firstly should the water i soak my seeds water i have adjusted the ph to 6.5 or is tap water ok?

Second if and when my seeds do germ i'm going to be potting straight into 6 liter air pots. I got myself a cheap ph tester from ebay and tested my tap water at 7.5 ph, i then took a bowl and added a handful of my soil (plagron light mix) and mixed in a fair amount of water. I mixed this around for a little while and drained the water off into a cup, placed my ph tester back in and got a result of 6.5. My question is, if that's the case should i be watering with a slightly higher ph in an effort to raise the ph of my soil or just water with water adjusted to 6.5?

Third one of my seeds looks slightly damaged, iv'e contacted the company i got it from and they have said to see if it will germ and contact them if it doesn't.
This is fine but im just not sure whether i should soak the seed or just put it straight into paper towel?

If soaking, really ph'd or non ph'd water either works. I used both. Seedling has no idea no cares about ph, will you feed and water.

Ah shit... grow on.. you will be fine with 6.5 tap water... to germ..

I would, it would act as a layer to protect it. Be sure add nothing but water. No chemicals of any kind at all.
Just be very gentle and sure everything is clean when handling it, wash your hands a few times, before handling. You touch anything other then your supplies, wash. Think of it as a new born.
Also make sure humidity is up.

I have had to crack a few seeds to help them along, you just need be as gentle as possible once its opened and hope it wasn't damaged for long.
