The Results
Belated update on the grow:
I believe I gave dry weights for the Devils, but to refresh, DD1 came in @ 1.15 oz dry, DD2 squeeked by @ 1.25 oz dry.
I'll do a smoke report shortly, but let me say that the aroma is unreal. Sweet, fruity, some floral tones and a wonderful, sharp citrus bite to the nose.
DD2 had a more pronounce smell, but I couldn't say if it was the nutes or just the roll of the dice. Personally, I think it was just the gene trait in that particular bean coming forward.
The buds are kinda loose, and dried very dark. I don't think this photo does them justice; in natural light they're a dark, almost black, purple orange and green.
The Sour Diesel Haze, my mosted hated plant, has redeamed herself! It came in at 2.24 oz dry, but will likely loose a bit more (lucky she didn't start molding on me... I've been away, leaving the buds in a jar. Thank God for Bovida packs!). The smell has a faint floral in the background, with mabe some skunk tones, and that very strong fuel snap to it. Nice, dense buds, as well.
The root systems on all three gals
stink! Not well developed at all, IMHO. Meager taps, at best. My Northern Lights had a monster root ball, as did her companion Fast Haze. These were grown using primarily teas and Alaska Fish Emultion.
I have to conclude, that while both Rock and AN did well (very similar results for me, I'll give Rock the nod for ease of use though), I though the organics produced a much healthier plant. A strong root system, even if it takes away from topside growth for awhile, in my opinion will always win.
Back to organics for me! (Although I will use up AN and Rock products, maybe try them on some veggies, and when buds are forming).
There you have it, we'll end this grow with a... woosh of air. :dunno:
AN? Rock? Both solid product lines, just not my particular cup-o-joe. I have to mark this a win for Rock Nutrients, though, just for achieving similar results with a lot less fuss. :tiphat:
