Will switching my girls to 18/6 from 20/4 encourage the buds to harden? really not happy with the yield and even the pathetic amount that is there isnt dense at all. tempted to just stick 2 plants or 1 girl on her own under the 250w next grow from dinafem rather than fucking about with the sweet seeds...infact fuck it they didnt reply to my emails so sod em ill blacklist them anytime i can

Density in my opinion has 3 main factors. #1 the light - less watts less dense, Genetics, and finally what you're feeding them. Hardeners (Shooting Powder, bud blood, Mother of all bloom, etc)with high PK will encourage density in the flowers.

If you're using chem nutes I'd recommend overdrive from advanced nutrients its a bud hardener and improves taste
Less watts less density isn't always true though. Consider a HPS vs a LED. An led of 250watts would produce better penetration and denser buds than a 250w HPS so wattage isn't always the most important factor. I think coverage and light penetration are more important than actual # of watts

been feeding old timers bloom, always used this but never had buds lacking density... always used the same amount of watts aswell...its been a shocking grow so im guessing ill put it down to genetics...be glad to tear this waste of time down. If every grow was like this i wouldnt even risk getting nicked and would just buy draws
