I normally let mine go about 30-50% amber. I remember reading somewhere that 75% amber means it's passed its best, but I've never tried it out myself. You'll have to let us know what you find. I'll stick around for that.

I have always picked at 20-30% Amber......so maybe I will only let them go 50% amber and see how I like it!! I know it is a true statement that potency is degraded when 100% are Amber!! The old schoolers go completely off of the pistils turning ALL red and not even focus on tri colors!!
The plants have went from 10% Cloudy to about 70% cloudy in less than 5 days!!! Im thinking I will harvest on Monday or Tuesday!
The wife sent me a text this am around 10...."I can smell it in the house and the garage".......she is ok with it AS LONG AS WE CANT SMELL IT!!! Its hard for me to smell it and I am trying to smell it. It is a very faint smell but none the less it is recognizeable sometimes....I do not know what to do anymore. I checked my fans, lines, and filter....everything checks out!
I have not had this problem in any of my 4 cycles....
Hi Nvus420. My opinion, for what it's worth, is that you should take a pinch and sample at various stages of ripeness to find what your preference is - it's absolutely your call and down to your personal taste. Not much point leaving it until the trics are a particular colour if you don't like the buzz and then wish you'd taken it sooner. This is the fun part. Nice grow and good luck !

I harvested all my girls last night!!!!
Most plants were mostly coudy with minimal amber....1 plant was about 15-20% amber!
I am expecting over 1 ounce for each plant by the looks of the harvest. I have never had this size colas...I will post pix later.....4 Soda can size buds (main stalk cola)
Questions/Thoughts about my smell....I have never had this issue while growing. My house does STINK. a friend came over yesterday and asked if I keep my bag inside now. I just agreeded with him. He said he could smell weed in my house. That is EXTREMELY bothering to me. I do not know what has happened.
1st grow with this new filter and I still have a strond negative pressure room. I had a thought last night while harvesting and I will investigate this in a few days before I start my next cycle. Do carbon filters come with a plastic liner on the inside of the filters that have to be removed? I do not know why this popped into my head, I must have heard this before when reading a forum.
It is MIND blowing how strong the smell is with a filter.....It is as if my filter is not working at all, and to tell you the truth I DO NOT THINK IT IS!

Have you thought about putting Ona gel or something similar in a few rooms in your house and near your doorways, so you're fighting the smell around your house as well as in the grow room? Have you grown this strain before?

Im amazed at the stinch I have this round. I have 4 grows under my belt and NEVER had this problem until NOW!!
I did some research and I also blog my grow journals on Greenpassion.org, the guys over there did some research for me as well. The Dinafem website DEFINATELY warns growers of the smell the Critical Jack puts off in its later days of flowering. It warns growers that a carbon filter may not be enough to control the odor!
LOL, I GUESS that was the answer I was looking for!

ERENT came in yesterday. I am going to germ the seeds and grow them indoors for 6 weeks....AFTER the 6 week mark Im going to move them outside and see how they finish outside. Is that a waste of time by putting them outside to finish??The smell really freaked me out, LOL I NEVER WANT THAT TO HAPPEN AGAIN!! Thats why my grow box is in my attic B/C I wanted to be Extremely Discreet with my grow!!!
I started my 1 outdoor plant the same time I started this last cycle( the 60 day wonder cycle), so SHE IS ABOUT 72 days old. I grew her inside for 5 weeks then put her outside. She is growing nicely, about 4 foot tall right now!!
