New Grower Day in the Life of a Stunted Auto

Very nice pictures, good job.
i just tried again to take some pics under glass but I'm not happy with them :face:

You can see them though so at least you have that. From what i understand through is you want to look at the triches on the actual buds or keep in mind that the leaves tend to mature faster than the buds.

Day #87

I lied, im still feeding her nutes. But seriously, going to dial it back going forward. Trichomes continue to cloud up and buds are slowly stacking up. The buds feel pretty dense so im hopeful for a good push through these final stages.

Day #91

After reading through pop22's myth busting thread on flushing before harvest, i decided im on Team, Flushing is for Toilets. I will reduce nutes to 50% recommemded dose till harvest though. I also had my arm twisted (not at all) into buying a UVB light setup. I bought the 24" Solacure light. They claim it boosts trichome development substantially. It should arrive today. I plan to run that for an hour a day untill harvest as well.

All in all, she is budding and frosting nicely. Im a little worried about how leaf packed the base of some of these branches are and the potential for bud rot. I think i will add another small 8inch fan to the other side of the tent.

Looks amazing, I'm still jealous haha. My trichomes only look great on my tiny plant my big plants look like they would rather get big than get frosty :C
Jealous of those temps too 64-73 holy hell you live in canada or the north pole? our day time heat kills me here its 85F outside already and in the house i have AC set to 70F but the rooms seems to avg 73F, my tents never go below 69-70 lights out, lights on is ALWAYS 8-10F higher than ambient

I'm flushing because people with more time in the soil advised me to do it, does not mean that is what I'm doing for life just a test run. My next grow will be organic and top dress but one day i will test no flushing lol good luck with the uvb light :smoking:

I live in the northeast US and its been pretty cool here this spring. My tent is also in the basement and i super insulated my house so it stays pretty cool. It would be cooler but the dehumidifier is running more often. Its problably a good thing too.

I always heard and read to flush but the science behind it just doesnt make sence. Why would I starve and kill my plant, the nuitients you are giving are essential building blocks that have been metabolizing in the plant for 70 days. The final flavors are all in the cure.

Day #94

Chugging along, frosting up. I have been running the UVB light for an hour a day for the last few days. She just started kicking out some more flowers today so im not sure how much longer. Im looking at mostly cloudy trichs with some clear and even less amber. Tomorrow is supposed to be a water/feed day but im getting antsy to begin the harvest process. I will go with 48hrs of darkness and brown bag cure before jarring.

Thanks! Im trying to be patient. A lot can happen in a day at this stage. I think i want to see a couple more ambers before i shut it down.

Day #98

Ohhhh the test of patients. Trichomes are still clouding up so I'm holding onto my scissors for the time being. Amber and milky color Trichs starting to fill in and the buds are frosting up nicely. I'm thinking that she will go lights out in the next day or two.

Just a heads up that sometime the Trichs on an Auto don't amber - you could be waiting forever, and the THC will degrade with light over time! :D

:vibe:

Edit: But excellent results from what started as a runt!! You should be well pleased! :D
