These little beakers are inexpensive and work great to decarb in. I usually match the rosin weight with cocoa butter or coconut oil. One caveat is that handling rosin is a sticky business; these little beakers can easily stick to your fingers when you think you are letting go and spill the medicine. Yep I learned that the hard way. Make sure your headspace is 3 times the volume you are decarbing; some rosin gets foamy when the decarb gets under way.
Great info from you again @Mañ'O'Green! I got this 1 with my licks dab to ejuice stuff. I am assuming it will work or is the narrow neck a bad idea?

Can I decarb just the rosin or will it just stick in there? Want to put in mbm so smell is contained, if decarbed in oil for 2hr in the beakers would there be a smell? Can't have smell that's why wanted to use mbm. If I decarbed like 8g with 8g of coconut oil could I then put that then in more coconut oil to make my normal batch? I normally do 2 cups of oil then put in silicone ice cube tray in freezer. Don't see why not, just have to get amount of rosin for 2 cups correct?

Yes you can decarb in that. It will be very hard to clean out. Mixing rosin with equal amounts of oil will make it easier to handle. 2 g rosin plus 2 g oil is all you will fit in that. Remember decarbing can foam up and boil over. MBM does not get hot enough to decarb. You need 252°F for 27 minutes to decarb the rosin. This can be done in a hot oil bath but will be risky and hard to control. The little vial will float and fall over easily. You can also do it in the oven but once again hard to keep the heat constant and correct. I use the bottom plate of my rosin press to precisely control the heat. I just set the little beaker right on the plate and set the temperature and timer - easy peasy.

Yes I can smell the rosin decarbing (smells wonderful but not if it is still illegal where you live). You will need to get creative for smell control.

Yes once you have decarbed rosin/oil you can mix it into anything you want that will mix with or absorb the oil.

The formula applies to any product. 1 g rosin = 700 mg. cannabinoids divided by 2 cups oil = 16 oz = 43.75 mg per ounce or about 4 - 10 mg doses. I currently use about 20 mg. per dose. This just depends on your tolerance level.

I just learned more in 90 sec than I did all last week lol. You always bring it bud! Thank you for the lesson. That helps with dosing. I am afraid my tolerance has been increased from dabbing, it's been awhile since an edible has worked on me. I have been taking same amount but get to the point where I'm about to get the effect and then it stalls. Been wondering if my decarb hasn't worked or not taking enough? Going to order a lift decarboxylator on Monday so decarb won't be an issue any more. Says it will decarb rosin, just put on silicone container. But good idea with plate I will try someday.

700 mg is an average correct, some can be more and vise versa?

I have looked at that "Lift" a couple of times but I am too cheap to buy one. Let me know how it works out for you. If smell was not an issue a hot plate stirrer would be half the price.

Yes at the large Cannabis Festivals (Cups) etc. They test rosin and 700 mg/ g is an average. It is going to give you a good baseline number to start with.

I just did a quick search and it looks like High Times is saying 760 mg. is an average now. I think 700 is still good enough for my pressings.

I like Lift so much that I have 2 of them so I can decarb 1 oz flower at a time.
I used to dread decarb, now it's trivial.
