Hey AFN experts! This is Ethel. She is Grape Muerto at day 56 from sprout. She is grown in soil, organic using GO Box nutes. Just switched last week from the old style Mars-Hydro 300w to the Mars-Hydro 96X3. 20/4 schedule. 14" from light. Soil PH is hovering near 6. I had toxicity issues early on and had damage to the lower leaves but the yellowing and spotting on the newer leaves just showed up. I left town Friday after giving her a feeding (I upped the nute strength from 1/4 to 1/3 strength). Temps in the tent ranged from 76 - 85 degrees. Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Are the pictures the old damaged leaves or newer ones? Are you using flower nutes and have you given them any cal/mag?

:smoking: Nammy!.. beat me to the draw.....how are ya brudda? BTW, I'm almost done putting together a fat-phat defc. pic depot here,... much expanded... started last week, but lost it when I tried to post it,... a heads up: there's a 20 pic/posting limit! More than that, and it all goes :poof:...*sigh*--learn the hard way,....

Hi Janie  -- Day 56, you say?... couple things going on here: she starting her normal shut down routine, along with what looks like some Ca-Mg defc. issues,... since you're using milder organic nute's, and at reduced conc., there's little to no reserves in the plant and soil, so she's tapping into her fans for stuff... (I see paling color on some upper fans too...again, pretty much normal for her stage)... Buds look juicy! Got a whole plant shot for us? From what little I can see, she has about 1.5 weeks 'til harvest, I think...? So, in the meantime, give her a full dose of Ca-Mg, and I'll wait to see the whole plant pic first before offering any advise on other fert's, and appx. time to harvest,... since you're using organic nutes, and low doses, I don't think you'll need much of a cleanse period (no anything but water for a week+),... have you had a good close-up look at the trichome colors yet? (clear--milky-- amber)...

Thanks! You guys ROCK! The more damaged leaves are on the bottom of the plant - the older leaves. I am using flowering nutes in the GO Box, plus liquid KoolBloom and Ca-Mg.

Here is a shot from above. I took it this morning. If you need a better shot, please let me know. I checked trichs Friday, they were mostly clear... I forgot to mention that humidity is high - between 60 - 100% over the past week or so..

...clear trich's mostly, huh?... then you got a couple weeks still most likely, but keep an eye on them, so see how they progress, and start to get a read on when harvest will be,... Koolbloom! :amazon:LOL! That's the good stuff there... 2-45-28 -- serious stuff, and I bet it's why you have fat-head bud tops going on the lil' gal of yours! How much are you diluting? *** :doh:OH wait, I'm looking at the dry stuff, not the liquid (0-10-10) which is what you have, I assume?--just a slight difference.... the dry stuff is a huge boost the the gonads, and at that conc., it's very easy to roast an auto girl, vs. a photo' gal... I have a similar product with massive P-K #'s, that I apply only a couple times at 1/4 str., at the last stages of bloom,... brings on the phat-fat though!
...(looking at her color...)-- you know, maybe give her a round or two of the GO Grow 4-3-3, to get a little N in there to support the bud swell with sufficient building block materials,.. and skip the regular Bloom at the same time, while using the Koolbloom... A couple-few more feedings, and I think you'll be done! Aside from the Ca-Mg at full str., I'd stay with your dilutions as is, since she's not a big plant and drawing a lot of nute's,... remember, the fans will still continue to decline, looking rough, but it's normal... :eyebrows: How's she smell Jane, are you getting the grapey-goodness yet?

Waria,

I checked trichs this morning and they were really clouding up! Very little clear left in fact, no amber at all. And crap, wish I had read this earlier because after I checked her trichomes, I went ahead and fed her a tiny bit of the dry KoolBloom, yep the 2-45-28 stuff. It called for a 1/4 tsp per gallon and I went with less than half that amount mixed into a gallon of water. Then I fed her one water bottle (16.9 fl. oz) of it. That and a water bottle of Ca-Mg at 1/2 recommended strength for photos. Hope I didn't fry her!

I will keep a close eye on her for sure. That may be the only Koolbloom she gets based on how everything else is looking. She is small with kind of a weird structure, but the smell...it is amazing! I can't really explain it yet but it is skunky and grapey at the same time. I imagine it will be amazing after a good cure!

I am planning my grows for next year and am looking at the Mephisto line as you suggested. It looks like AFN'ers are getting great results with these. I like the sativa dominant strains for daytime use and when I need an energetic/creative boost. I absolutely love the DP Think Different that I grew! Love everything about the effects. I think it will have a permanent place in the tent! I like a couch-lock Indica's for night time as well. For that, I am enjoying a Big Buddah Cheese at that I grew with the TD.

Any suggestions are appreciated, as always.

Thank you so very much for your help!

:dizzy::shrug:I'm so confused!! :haha: ...well then, she'll be ready sooner -a week-ish, I think... She should be fine with that dosing, but nothing but water 'til harvest!....keep scopin' her out, all cloudy with mostly matured pistils (white ones on newest calyxes is fine) is early ripe harvest, and according to the literature, the peak THC levels; ambering is common, but not all auto's seem to do it, so between the leaves, pistils, and trichs-- and your buzz preferences, you can make the call,... there's no "right" amount of amber; this coloring, and often associated trich' head shrinkage, is a sign that the THC is breaking down into CBN, which is largely what gives that heavy, couch-locky effect... since you prefer less of this, you can take her anytime after she has had several days to burn through her recent inputs... :woohoo1: Mmmm, the aroma sounds very enticing! Check out this for Mephisto strain info, and of course, chat with Mitch about your preferences, and he'll be more than happy to advise,... as will the other growers here... His line up pretty much covers all the Indica-Sativa bases!

...pics got busted on the site move, but that'll be fixed soon I hope! ...Sweet Seeds is a sure thing too, in my book! ... We are blessed with many fine auto genetics these days, as you can plainly see! I remember when I bought my first seeds from Single Seed center... at that time 2 years ago, they had 10 pages of listings,..it was up to 25, before they changed the site layout,... Also, look into any Dragons and kin, from our in-house breeders too! Lots of work being done on them, new strains, revival of older honorable ancestors,... GoAuto6 (Terrestrial Bean Co.) is the hub for that,.. Sniper breeds Frost Dragon and Russians,... The others in the Independent Breeders Section are showing fine results too! Small, but passionate and competent breeders are proving themselves here all the time! ...pleasant research, if ever there was, ay? :pass:
