Dinafem Strawberry Cough In Supersoil

Had to cull the grow guys, opened the tent today and it was over run with gnats. Unbelievable, I can't have that in the house it was out of control. Gutted..

"Like" seems weird to do to a post like that...I guess I needed a "sympathy" button....sorry brother.

Ohhhh nooooo!! :( Hey you got some Neem cake/meal in yer soil mix? I haven't seen a bug since adding it lol.

Totally ruined by this, 5 weeks of veg with 10 tops, 1st week in flower...:Grrr::Grrr::Grrr::Grrr::Grrr::Grrr::Grrr::Grrr:

Can't believe it really, everything had to go it was like a swarm when I opened the tent. Ironically, I had neem oil in my hands delivered that morning, they had just multiplied a lot over 48 hrs.

Now I'm not sure what to do with the tent. I want to get something in there asap or I'll be pushing it with the meds I have. Gonna have to do an auto run but it's infested. I've been spraying fly killer in there all morning, I'm paranoid they will still be in there.....god damn it.

Get you a mason jar and put a funnel in it pour apple cider vinegar or something fruit based orange pulp works tape the funnel to make it sealed the gnats go in the funnel but can't get out

I use aluminum foil to make a funnel in a v-8 bottle and make the hole the size of a toothpick works too they go in but can't get out
And with the bottle you just put on the lid and toss them in the trash and put in more

Thanks man, I did try that with cider vinegar and also had the sticky traps around but they didn't go for it for some reason, Neem was another go at keeping them at bay but didn't get here in time. I've never had a problem with gnats until this run when when I used my supersoil which had been cooking outside..not doing that again TLO or not.

Fungus Gnats don't care about sweet things, it's only fruit flies that are attracted to that stuff. I've never been able to get rid off them entirely, even with brand new coco they seem to appear at some point, even if it's winter and cold. Yellow sticky traps, neem oil and pyrethrine, that's what I use to decrease their population.
