Indoor Dinafem white cheese auto

Hi Yo - I use 1 gallon pots to get approx 18-24" plants, and 1.7 gallon pots for 24-32" plants, 4 in a 16"x16" space with 24" vertical grow space until it gets too hot under a 150W HPS. If a taller plant is bushy, I have to take 1 or 2 out. I average 2 to 2.5 oz total under the HPS or about the same wattage of CFL bulbs. Not a big yield, but I grow more than I can smoke, so it doesn't matter. The plants do get bigger in the bigger pots, but don't seem to yield significantly more. It may be because I have to heavily train the taller plants, making for a dense canopy, and the bulbs have limited penetration. My experience, hope it helps.

Enjoy your smoke mate, its a great strain and one i grew myself a couple of years ago... i grew 4 with 6 other autos under 2 x 600w hps and the biggest i had was 6.75oz and the smallest was just under 5oz... there were three phenos from 4 seeds so not the most stable of strains i will agree there... but the shorter more widow leaning pheno was stunning a real nice smoke, like widow but without the 'edgy' feeling and the cheese smoothness..

Thanks guys for the responses! Next time I run autos I think I will use smaller pots, I use the 5 gallon for my photoperiod plants and figured the autos would like them too, but now i know. I'm quite excited for the smoke, the plant I harvested almost 3 weeks early had a good smoke to it after I cured it, can't wait to see what the extra time did for these three! Still have two more left, one is losing most of its leaves already but the buds are barely filled out so we will see what happens with that one.

I will be running this strain again this summer outside too, since the attitude site says they are mostly outdoor plants I am hoping for good yields outdoors!

Hey mate, nice thread!
I wonder why noone is reading / commneting this. :3

Did you use no nutrients at all?
I'd expect the plants to be much taller, given the fact they are grown under 600W while mine are just growing under 400W and are much bigger.

Still sweet looking bud you got there, enjoy the smoke! :3

Hey YoYo, nice grow, good-looking strain :)

Sorry i missed the start i look forward to your next diary !

I got an ounce per plant using 2L pots under a 250W CFL a while back so your right about 3 gallons, it's overkill.

Autos have maximum heights and lifespans so there's an optimal pot-size for each strain, i would think.

I reckon 6L is probably a good max for the tallest auto ?

All the best,

steely

Dont agree with that mate.. 6l pots you might yield a few oz in, or get the odd freak plant that will put out a decent yield but the big autos are all grown in big ass pots.. just my experience dude not trying to dig you out in any way :)

I had put some bone meal and kelp meal in the pots, but I put the about halfway through the bucket and am not actually sure the plants recieved the nutes from them. During veg I used fish fert and molasses and during flower I used Big Bloom. I layered the soil in the bucket so the bottom half had the bone meal mixed in and the top half had a little blood meal, but kept it pretty light. The liquid ferts I used were simply supposed to supplement the nutes in soil but with how little the roots got, the plants might not have really gotten the nutes in the soil.

Thanks for stopping by my grow man. I've got one of these to grow out at some point. There doesn't seem to be many journals for dinafem seeds. Sorry I missed this from the start. Enjoy those lovely looking buds!
