Grow Mediums Do I have a problem? Root caught in netpot.

Hey AFN new grower here

My root seems to be caught in the pot. Im thinking I shouldnt touch it but I figured id ask. Anyone have experience with something like this? Ive also been battling heat and im not sure how its affecting the plants. Is there yellowing in the veins?

Hey bud ,welcome :Sharing One: don't worry to much , she should sort the roots out & others will be showing though the net pot soon .Plant looks happy but I would get that net pot filled with pebbles soon to block any light getting to the res. If you have heat problems then covering the bucket with something reflective will keep res temps a bit lower.Its important not to have high res temps or lots of other problems can happen !

I would just leave the root alone,it will be sending more roots down so don't worry.What temp problem are you having?

Thanks for the responses guys. Currently my tent is at 84F. This morning i woke up to slight foam in one of my buckets. I have my tent in a closet, i'm thinking if i move it into my room i should be ok because my AC keeps this place around 71-72F. Thanks again im just trying to spot issues before they get serious!

I set it to about 5.7 daily but it rises to about 6.3

But things have gotten real bad...I came home to brown slime all over the roots..I cleaned with plain water and h2o2 walmart 3% kind...I moved the tent got temps to 77-81F and the res temp to 70F..the roots look like they have gotten their white color back..i let them sit in plain water and h202 while i moved the tent then added lighter feed of nutes .canna rhizo...canna start silica blast and calmag..how is she looking? can i bring it back? Pics incoming..this is about day 10.

Cut out a piece of stryo foam and put it over your medium or put more hydroton over it
I can see that light is still getting into your rez.
Not sure if it was rot or algae that you were dealing with, but keep checking and rinsing as necessary.
I have usually found that what most people think is root rot is actually an algae boom gone bad.
The roots can handle being moved a bit to clean the crap off of them.

Thanks for the advice. I moved the tent and improved the res temps ..steady at about 22-23C which i know is not ideal but its going to have to work..I ordered hydroton and Voodoo Juice so hopefully i can bring them back..ive been able to keep the algae at bay although overall plant and root growth seemed to have stopped and then made verrrry little progress recently..hopefully the hydroton and the juice help bring it back

Anyone had success fighting algae? Seems like its affecting nutrient uptake.
