Live Stoner Chat Do you or do you not wear gloving to mix nutrients

I never wear gloves, for many years I was organic and used syringes to measure & it never gets on my hands, but I wash after just in case.

Using gloves for PH up & down I guess is a sensible thing to do due to the corozive nature of these chemicals but I am very careful and again use syringes to measure and deliver them.

I am currently using Powder feed, If I am using small quantities, I use a set of digi scales with a piece of paper on top, which has previously been folded so to pour the powder in to a mixing beaker with warm water so it dissolves and pour it into my water. Larger amounts I use the measuring spoon that comes with it. It does not come into contact with my skin, but wash afterwards as a precaution.

When mixing solutions I use my Blue Lab Truncheon which is long enough to not get my hand wet and has a strap so I don't accidentally drop it.

As mentioned, I too, am more concerned with fecal matter in organic feeds getting on my hands than most of the "non organic" materials in "chemical" feeds.
Ph ^ or v are pretty mild as bases and acids. If you have sensitive skin, you will want to rinse any splash rather quickly but it isn't likely to do more than irritate the skin at the casual exposure most people should be experiencing.
If you spill a bunch on you, be sensible and rinse that crap off right away.

Hmm good Question but as i use Powder Feed and for the Liquid Ferts throw away Pipettes, i aint using Gloves. But if i would mix them Up elsewise i would defo wear some.
