It works great for two reasons ... Lifting allows light to the lower leaves causing them to branch out and it slows the growth of the center itself w/o removing it ... sometimes when the center is bunched up like in pic #2 above I'll shade the center to assure that the center is not growing ... this allows all the growth to take place down below ... once I have the branches started I LST all around the outside w/ the emphasis on open and same height ... a healthy Jock Horror can be a tall plant but by turning it into a bush it can be grown in a smaller space with a more uniform canopy ...
very nice plant! could you plz give me a full list of your soil and nutes and when to use which nutes
so do u just mix the tabs in the soil or put them on top?It was grown on Nirvana Soil and Flower tabs ... I added Cal/Mag+ to make up for using RO water ... the soil was a Lamberts organic potting soil from Home Depot mixed w/ 1/3-1/2 perlite ... about 10% Coast of Maine Lobster compost ... There is a grower here ... Feenix ... that has been using Nirvana tabs and has been having great success w/ cutting them in half and staggering their use ...
